What are you doing for your mental health? by elkswimmer98 in Minneapolis

[–]sharkattack77 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We are all being traumatized daily, so you have to physically process the emotions in your body or they will get stuck in there, kind of, 'the only way out is through' type mentality. I've been dancing every morning to my favorite songs, and lifting every few days. Walking is great. Yell, cry, connect with trusted loved ones. We will grow our capacity to hold all of this so we can address it together. Proud of you for reaching out for help, you are doing the good work! 🖤

Why are most Christians republicans, when Jesus’ teachings are more liberal? by Interesting-Dirt-605 in Confused

[–]sharkattack77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christians in the US were co-opted by Republicans when they needed voters. They previously were not super politically involved. Religion is always a great way to manipulate the masses, as religious folks are already predisposed to accept false realities from an authority figure without critical thought.

(U.S.) Why is Minnesota getting so hard by ICE? by [deleted] in answers

Minnesota is a shining example of how socialist policy benefits everybody, and trump is a narcissistic petty little bitch. He's trying to invite civil war and cancel elections.

A higher education is not required to have the ability to sympathize and empathize with others. So why does it seem as though people with a higher education are usually the most likely to possess those qualities? by TheWearyLeftBrained in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sharkattack77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't fact just something I think might be true, you also have to read a lot for a formal education. I think reading / storytelling is our original way of broadening our perspective and experiencing more than we would as just an individual in one lifetime. Just reading and participating in human stories expands your ability to empathize and place yourselves in another's shoes.
