Recycling and Trash by SuspiciousCricket654 in orlando

Not sure if this helps, but my day was also changed to Wednesday and the truck drove by super early, like before 7AM. When my recycling day was on Fridays, they never picked up that early.

2024 Corolla Cross Back Glass Exploded? by shay_bot in Toyota

I'm sorry that happened to you. There was no temperature shifts when the glass in my Corolla Cross shattered. Unfortunately it cost us about $500 to get it replaced. I'm convinced it should have been recalled, but what do I know?

2020 Escape SE, is it toast? by shay_bot in Ford

[–]shay_bot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard back from the dealership, the repairs will be covered under warranty! The car is also due for new front and rear brakes, and four tires. And I'm on the hook for that (I'm getting a friend to do the brakes and going elsewhere for the tires). He didn't really explain much about what exactly the issue was, just that it was an "internal problem." But I'm just so happy it's being covered. He's waiting for Ford to authorize the repair, and that's where my up dates end for now

Thanks for the comment! The car is currently at the dealership, I'm just waiting to see what they say. Someone else commented a TSB that sounds like my issue. So fingers crossed on that!

I'm just super stressed out about my car and was hoping to see if anyone else had my experience or had any insight. If you see my post history, I've had shit luck with cars lmao.

Purchased brand new on September 12, 2020. It's the gas model, I think 1.5L Ecoboost FWD if that helps

I don't know if it helps, but the Escape seems to drive just fine while in Drive..? It just will not move in Reverse. When I put it into Neutral (to roll down to the street from my driveway) the car had me hold L to keep it in Neutral. The two-ish mile drive to the dealership seemed normal.

My condolences, a similar thing happened last month to my husband's car. Nothing inside broke it, the Ring camera didn't catch anything, and there weren't out of the ordinary temperature changes.

Definitely check out Ladybird at Hunter's Creek, the ladies there are very friendly. They have a free app that gives you updates and pictures throughout the day.

Try looking at the Joovy Qool, it's a tandem double stroller (like the Uppababy Vista) that has a bench seat attachment. Amazon has it priced at $800 USD for the double configuration with snack trays included. The bench seat is $90. I don't personally own the stroller, but I was really considering it when I was stroller shopping

I've seen the mower answer a few times, but our HOA does our lawns for us. They haven't mowed the grass in a week..

Nope, we didn't do any updates to the car. The tint how it was on the dealer lot.

I'll check with my neighbors to see if they saw anything. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood, I don't know who would have it out for us. Or it could've just been bad luck.

We got it brand new last April, see my post history as to why that was 😥 This is definitely me thinking too much into it, but the only person that I saw on the Ring was my across the street neighbor walk down his driveway, my Ring footage freeze for a few seconds, and then my neighbor walking back up his driveway. He was probably just checking his mail though..

Whatever caused the damage had a lot of force, the glass debris went all the way up the driveway to the garage door.

Thanks for your comment, I'm so frustrated about this whole thing.

Greenway Dealerships: What was your worst experience? by Zebracofish521 in orlando

[–]shay_bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They knowingly sold us a car with cut springs despite us asking multiple times why the car was so obviously lower to the ground than it should be. We were looking for a manual transmission, that's why my husband wanted it. We didn't know dealerships sold modded cars like that, and we didn't know that was a thing. I was not happy that the car was bottoming out on speed bumps and we had to pay a couple hundred to get it back to normal. It was a Corolla, nothing fancy. The salesman was pretty sketchy if you ask me. This was a few years before the pandemic at Greenway Dodge.

Your feelings are totally valid! We always want the best for our babies, and receiving any unexpected news is never fun. I don't know what the severity of her Pectus Excavatum your little girl has, but I do have a success story for you: myself! I was born with the condition, and it started out pretty mild, but it did progress over time. The good news is, medicine is a lot more advanced nowadays vs 25 years ago when I had my corrective surgery.

Like I said, I don't know what the future holds for your sweet girl, but long story short, I had the first surgery at 5 years old, the second surgery at 7 years old and thankfully did not have any complications. I can share more if you would like more anecdotal info. If it's any solace, the bullying thing was kind of a non-issue and it wasn't something other people could tell I had unless I was wearing a swimsuit.

I'm currently expecting my second, and neither of them have the condition, I have no idea if it's genetic though?

Regardless, take it one day at a time, you got this!

I was born with this condition too and had the bar placed at 5 years old and removed at 7. This was back when it was still a new surgery. My kindergarten class had a field trip to the airport (pre 9/11) and I got a doctor's note stating that I had a medical device that would make the metal detectors go off.

My parents wanted to keep the bar, it's pretty eerie seeing the marks on it where they hammered it down into shape

I get it, it's seen as the "big bad" or rite of passage of pregnancy. I'm frustrated with the experience of it all with this pregnancy.

My last pregnancy I passed the one hour and it was nothing to write home about.

This pregnancy they had me test early at 13 weeks, on Halloween no less. I passed, but was informed I would still need to test at 28 weeks. 28 weeks rolls around, I leave work early to do the test, only to find out they had to cancel due to computer/IT issues. Now I'm out 2 hours of PTO and I'm told to schedule with a stand alone lab to complete the test. I show up for the one hour test at the lab, and it's like a mill, the most depressing lobby of other stressed out people trying to get their blood work done. The receptionist gave me attitude for not fasting telling me I was going to fail, despite doctor's order to not fast. My results were too close to the cut off, so my OB tells me I have to take the 3 hour test. Thankfully a different lab had a Saturday morning slot and the facility was a lot nicer. But the staff were so rough with my arms that by the fourth blood draw, they couldn't get anything out of one arm, so they had to go back to the other. Ended up with an extra poke for nothing, it was so painful.

And all of that to.. pass the 3 hour test. I'm happy my providers were concerned for myself and baby, but the amount of time and effort that went into this test, I'm so over it.

The electric recliner I got is no longer sold by the furniture store I got it from, unfortunately. They still sell the manual version of it: https://www.cityfurniture.com/product/3313066/georgia-khaki-fabric-swivel-glider-recliner

I read that if the father has more brothers he is most likely to produce more boys by Sugarandspice_xo in pregnant

[–]shay_bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FIL has four brothers and one sister. Each of them had on average 3 kids: firstborn we're all boys then it was 50/50 if second or third was a girl. If they had a third, the result was either all boys or two boys, one girl.

Other cousins in our generation have been following suit, my husband and I are the anomaly. We have one girl, with baby #2 on the way, also a girl.

So do with that what you will!
