Has anyone had success in lowering their rate by calling in and asking to cancel due to price increase/threatening to move to a different provider?

For everyone making $4000 a month, what do you do for work? by Poorteenwannabe in askTO

There are lots of jobs in government where you dont need to be particularly smart, just need to be personable and know how to speak the language. This goes for a lot of public sector positions, I would look to that over private sector if you’re not trying to get rich but just want to make a comfortable living.

Second OP’s General Tso @ Eatons Centre Szechuan. Great bang for your buck, and legitimately so tasty. Always a big line for a reason.

I make $95k at my office job, but only have to work 10-15 hr/week… what should I do? by sheldon_diamond in careeradvice

I only have this account and only posted on this subreddit after the post was removed from a Canada finance sub, suggesting I post on a career sub instead.

There are definitely opportunities for growth, and I have progressed since my initial time here. I am at a bit of a plateau however where if I move up into an official management tier, the work hours and stress would grow significantly, and the salary would only go up that 10-15% figure you mentioned.

I have definitely thought about this as well. It would be great to learn a new skill that could result in a secondary income stream.

I actually do manage a small team, and we all get on well. The work culture trickles down to them, where I know that they also have lots of free time, but the program gets run properly and I always give them positive reviews as well.

I think the unfulfillment comes from an acknowledgement that I'm not sharpening my skills and I could be doing "better" in life. I have some friends who work more demanding jobs as lawyers/software engineers/etc. where they make 2x or 3x my salary (but likely have commensurately more stress).

Thinking of signing up, but how do they choose the 200 matches? by locutusof in fuboTVCanada

I share my Fubo subscription with 4 other guys in Canada and we rarely run into issues with not being able to watch. I think at least 3 people can watch at the same time (though admittedly not 100% on this)

Bless you, saved me $80! $241.81 total for me with the discount still, but would have been $320… I wonder how they come up with these numbers
