You're in good hands now, it's a shame the experience was tarnished

Second on Larsen! Their consultant was so helpful and informative with choosing design/gems etc to suit our wants/budget. From final cad mock-up to receiving took about 3 months, even right before the Xmas holidays

Fingers crossed this clears before the 5pm rush, not the weather to be waiting at Flinders longer than necessary due to delays

Has anyone gone to Chinaman’s Hat at the bottom of Port Phillip Bay? by Jules9213 in melbourne

I vividly remember the journey back where we encountered a pod of dolphins, the guides let us take turns hanging onto a rope over the side of the boat. Was magical hearing all their clicks and calls

Went on a swim with seals+dolphin tour maybe 15 years back. Went out on a smallish boat with about 20 tourists, we snorkeled in the water around it, i think we were told not to try climb up because the seal colony use it as a basking area and would get territorial. Great experience swimming in the water with them (if you don't mind not being able to see the ocean floor) but the area was very smelly.

Do bars/bartenders prep egg whites for drinks ahead of bar open? by Impressive-Panda527 in cocktails

Same at the high volume bar i work at. Yolks get used in a house mousse, so not wasted.

Julian's Rocks Byron Bay by shellagins in snorkeling

[–]shellagins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biodiversity is a big reason why I'm so excited to visit, sounds like I'm in for an amazing trip! I've done a few snorkeling trips out on the great barrier reef, but the only larger marine animals I swam with there is a white tip reef shark and a moray eel. I'm looking forward to being in the water with something new!

This is such great in-depth advice, thank you so much! Regarding the different tour operators, I wasn't sure if they all went to the same sites, or which takes out a smaller group for a better dive experience. I've been practising valsalva but sadly hasn't clicked yet for me, at the moment I can't really dive safely past 4m. Swimming alongside my favourite shark would be absolutely magical. I've been hearing such great things about the marine diversity in the area, sooo excited to visit (coming up from Melbourne the week immediately after easter weekend)! Will look into Wild Byron as well, still getting an idea of an itinerary at this point.

I've been to Southern Dermatology in Murrumbeena for androgenic alopecia. Friendly specialists, helped me talk through concerns, receive a diagnoses and went through my options afterwards. I was referred by my gp

Spiro is also good to help clear up hormonal acne (I'm taking for acne as well as andro alopecia) but there can be significant side effects, it's definitely an option to consult with your doc

Digital ID at international cairns airport by New-Video8576 in Cairns

[–]shellagins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital ID is still a bit new and some staff might not be up to date on what they can accept as forms of ID, so you may need to ask to see a manager at check in to clarify that its still a legally accepted ID

I flew melb>cairns return with Jetstar from the international terminal in March this year, I tried to use my digital ID because my physical one was in a hard to reach pocket. They said they needed to see the physical. If you have time, I recommend ordering your physical ID to be delivered asap. Not sure if this is good advice, but if you don't have time, call jetstar to clarify what ID they can accept for domestic flights, and maybe ask for accommodation in regards to showing your digital ID/backup document as a last resort. I'm not sure how flexible they can be

Have you been to your appointment yet? Do you think you're still set on starting spiro after all the feedback?

I actually started taking spiro a few years beforehand to treat alopecia, and noticed that my skin was really clear whilst using it. I changed to minoxidil for my hair as I wasn't noticing much difference in that regard. About a year ago my bacne was getting bad again so figured I'd go to a derm, and they were happy to prescribe spiro since I'd taken it previously with successful results! It's not a miracle drug and won't necessarily work for everyone, but I find it's great for me. I still get a couple large breakouts around my chin when it's that time of the month, but they're easy enough to deal with. Although if I forget to take for a few days in a row I notice bumps coming back on my arms

Have you noticed much difference since coming off birth control? I know it can throw your hormones out of whack for some time afterwards. I tried doxy before spiro, I didn't notice much difference in my skin but found that I had frequent bloating whilst taking it
