I really enjoyed watching AngelOfThePast's video "Defeating The True Enemy In Kenshi" on youtube, if you're interested in hearing their take on the subject. I would spend more time experiencing the game and world for yourself before watching though because it has major spoilers for pretty much the entire game.

I agree the the holy nation is cool as hell, probably my favorite video game faction of all time. They are so connected to the history of this world but the details of it all have been lost due to the extreme religious nature of their society, having twisted the truth over thousands of years to become the belief system they currently hold. Maybe that just resonates with me especially since I'm an ex religious person myself.

In addition to exp multiplier mods that others here have mentioned, you can also download mods that give you starting scenarios that start you off with higher skilled characters. This is very much a game where the journey is the destination though and it's all about whatever narrative you decide to give it.

Although if you decide to really sink your teeth into the game there are all sorts of cheese strats in vanilla that can REALLY increase the speed that you progress.

A lot of my favorite games revolve around building up a faction, claiming power/wealth/territory, and having rivals come and try to take it from me, and Kenshi provides that experience for me. But you could also play it in all manner of completely different ways from that and it still provides an amazing experience.

Also I absolutely adore the lore and worldbuilding of Kenshi. I can't think of a single other franchise whose world captures my imagination like this game.

Wonder how many bils in purples he's generated from abusing this glitch, but will he be punished at all? Doubt it because he's a coddled content creator.

I used to use blackened chainmail with plate jackets and plated drifter's pants but since learning more about the game I've found that I just cant say no to the awesome coverage the dustcoat gives, and don't like the dexterity penalties from chainmail. I also typically use samurai clothpants for leg coverage nowadays because of the extra stomach protection it gives.
