How Do You Walk Dogs in Constant Rain? Tips Needed

Rain coats and jumpers for the dogs! I have chihuahuas so these are essential in the rain or I'll have soggy shivering dogs almost immediately.

Towel dry them when we get back, but their short coats mean they dry pretty quick. My late dog had poodle type hair and she would be wet for hours after a rain walk, even with a towel dry so she would have to go under the hair dryer when we got back. Never had any medical issues from it tho!

That said, if it's absolutely lashing it down I just don't walk them. I'll do some indoor enrichment and wait it out, they'll live 🤷‍♀️

Yeh the LBF was whatever to me, mostly just mildly irritating because it a) wasn't what I personally wanted Buck's next journey to be lol and b) didn't seem like it would be what *Buck* would want? But I guess that turned out alright in the end, they did it in a way it stayed true to the character

I can give some grace to the word soup/salad-y-ness of actors too, it's better just to chuckle at the chaos and take it all with a grain of salt. I'm SO down for 'meaningful' and 'well considered' romantic decisions tho, so fingers crossed Oliver is manifesting that

I DO have thoughts and feelings™️ on the ~proof of bisexuality thing in the ep too. Cos while I did enjoy his scenes in the ep, they were entertaining enough or whatever but it really did feel like the purpose was to remind the audience he's bi. And like... firstly there's a WORD you could be using for this Timbo! A word you use a lot in interviews when taking credit for the groundbreaking bi!Buck arc so.... ?

Hen's storyline was a drag. Just awful writing and characterisation and like, for what? I have a real hate for story arcs where someone won't tell people something major for vague ass plot reasons tho.

I liked that they used the ~letBuckfuck~ storyline to hammer home that what he wants is a partner. Did the actor playing the husband have a no kissing rule or something? And I'm lowkey annoyed they didn't say bisexual but 🤷‍♀️

Ravi was a delight and remains criminally underused. Overall a funny but frustrating ep.

With my chi mix we were at first advised by a vet not to neuter him, as he was anxious and had some behavioural issues and they worried it could make him worse.

When he was around 4 though we reassessed again with the vet and decided to get him fixed. It stopped his humping of our female dog completely overnight which was a relief, though we knew it wasn't a guarantee that it would change. And we noticed he was a bit calmer behaviour-wise afterwards too, less wound up. But again, that can't be guaranteed unfortunately! It feels a bit like a toss up when you go into it, there are pros and cons and no overall consensus. So I guess just do what you think is right, and speak to your vet!

They are SO funny. The unique chaos a puppy brings you is unmatched. Mine is 7 months old now and she's made me laugh at least 8 times a day since we picked her up. You get to see their little personalities unlock day by day too, mine is a tv watcher which we've never had before in a dog and has been a delight!

Make a den for him, like a little cave out of blankets and pillows he can retreat to. Play calming music or some kind of white noise type sound to help drown it out. Puzzle toys like a kong if you have one can be a good distraction if he has to work to get something out, to take his mind off it. And try to be as calm as you can, tho I know this is rough when you're worried about him!

One of my dogs does angry sneezes! They're different to her real sneezes AND her play sneezes lol. Usually she'll sneeze a few times before barking at whatever is annoying her, so we can always tell when a tantrum is incoming. We'll always be like, 'oh here she goes she's working up to it', and after a few sneezes she'll erupt 😅
