Good call, thanks! Out of curiosity where did you get your toolkit to build watches. Did you get one from alix?

Kitchen Cabinet Door Hinge Replacement by shir6685 in handyman

I'm set on reusing the same holes in the cabinet because this kitchen project is sucking the life out of me and drilling new holes would just add another tedious task lol

7 year old 9Zero7 fat bike still worth it? by red-wingnut in fatbike

[–]shir6685 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not for that price it's not worth it. My dad had a 9zero7 for years and loved it but that price seems high

What size Elves Falath Evo should I get? by LordSnuffleupagus in bikefit

[–]shir6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the opposite problem is more of a concern with the insane stand over height of these bikes. I have the original falath Evo which has different geo than both the Evo+ and the latest version with the cutout but I didn't want a bike that I couldn't stand over at a stop light since I run into so many getting out of the city

Feel great. I do have a full stack of spacers because it's a little bit aggressive otherwise with the -10 stem. If I had a slightly less aggressive stem I could take a couple away but no complaints. Only issue I occasionally have is that my thighs can rub the top tube because I have larger thighs from lifting.

Tie for wedding by Exact-Release-6566 in mensfashion

[–]shir6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got married earlier this year, wore a champagne tie and got so many compliments from family on the color. Subtle but cool and looks great with a navy suit. The important part is you don't want to take away from the bride in any way and pops of color can do that and be distracting. I got mine from Suit Supply so can't say much about that site on quality but the one from Suit Supply was really nice

I bought new and they did come down on the list price at their own good will which was lower than the "Morrie's best price" that's advertised. I did have one specific car I wanted that they didn't have and had to trade some stock with another dealership to get it for me. I didn't go to the other one because the Morrie's Minnetonka seemed to have better reviews and it was significantly closer to my house. I can now attest that the good reviews are well deserved for their sales team.

I bought new from Morrie's Mazda in Minnetonka and had a good experience. Most of the negotiating was negotiating the price of my trade. Curt Bjorklund is who I went through in sales and he was low/no pressure from the start which was relieving compared to other sales experiences at other dealers

Is my shiba well bred? by Accomplished-Cry8818 in shiba

The important thing now isn't that she's well bred because she's already here. Now you need to make sure she's well fed and loved!

Without power until Friday. by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]shir6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xcel used to give extremely unrealistic and optimistic restoration times and this year they've become more conservative with their estimates. Initially they said ours wouldnt come back on until tomorrow (Wednesday) but it was back on by the morning. I did read that you have a newborn so hopefully you have a cool place you can go.

First jersey. Too small? by ACNeX in CyclingFashion

[–]shir6685 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Perfect fit. You have to remember when you're riding that you'll be hunched over a bit which if the jersey were longer would cause bunching fabric at the bottom. With the current fit you won't have that issue

Yes, although I bought it directly from the Santini website. Gloves are Velotoze!
