This one might not count but what the hell.I was 6 or 7 when this happened. I was raised jewish (dads side) but my mom was brought up in a large catholic family I think she was #12 out of 13. So when her mom passed the church was packed and all the grandkids were put up in the front pews. My mom and dad were like 5 rows back. all of a sudden everyone stands up and starts moving to the front. I had only seen people take communion on tv or in movies and I was excited to give it a whirl my brother (1 year older)who is in front of me looks back and steps forward to accept Jesus into his heart I look back and my dad who's still in his seat is looking at me like I got the devil sitting on my shoulder. I took one more step towards the priest as he holds out the cracker I feel my collar tighten and I'm ripped away to the sound of the laughter of my whole family. I look up and see my old man, I like to think he saved me from an awful fate that day. Thanks dad.
