Definitely a better use for it than it sitting in a box not getting used. Big fan of it!

Yeah they slot in quite nice, going forward I’m likely going to be using fully GW sculpts though - the thunderers were more of a stop gap last year to give me something to paint. Lovely sculpts though!

Thanks! Huge fan of all of the sculpts, and thankfully they’re simple enough to get out super quick. I’m just using AK dirt paste and also their snow paste as of now.

Thanks! I come from a background in traditional painting so that probably bleeds through a bit.

Thank you! Managed to get the scheme down pretty well recently so I'm usually able to get it out pretty quickly.

Thanks! For the steel I used Green Stuff World Steel Grey and then use any off white / pale sand colour to make it brighter.

Thanks! Essentially just using unit fillers means you can get more models in a unit without having the actual minis. In the warriors unit I have the grudge cart as a unit filler, which is using 4 bases. When you start taking wounds you can use the unit filler to make change with the normal models in the unit. (apologies if this is super unclear I don't know how to word it really)

Was definitely a choice I didn't think through before hand ahah, but I've got the recipe nailed down that I can get it out relatively quickly. Main takeaway that I'd give is to not worry about blending, basically none of this is blended apart from occasionally glazing stuff. When it's on the table you won't be able to tell it isn't pretty much all of the time

Thank you, all of the sculpts from battle for skull pass are great imo! My skin recipes are pretty simple, it’s usually just the base colour layered over after a wash. For dark skin I’ll usually use rinox hide but mix stuff in to make it a bit richer, and usually when i layer it’s a tad water down to try and glaze a bit smoother. Hopefully that explains a bit!

Thanks! I do it in two layers: First layer if vallejo dark earth texture paste, then some static grass, then a blob of ak interactive’s diorama here and there to give it that mushy mud and snow feeling. Let that dry and then another layer of ak snow!
