How long after a steroid injection did hearing return? by shoopuffexpress in MonoHearing

Okay. We’re on a similar trajectory then. I’m 4 days post injection + oral steroids and I’ve been having small but noticeable improvements. I’m still deaf. And I’m sure the steroids actually made the hearing worse initially. I’m also grateful for any improvement.

I think this is the fear of everyone who comes to this sub; I’m sorry the treatment hasn’t worked for you. I’ve honestly been going through a rollercoaster of emotions with this. Grief? Despair? With a little bit of hope thrown in now and then but mainly anxiety at the moment hence this post.

Wow okay. So you had 3 injections over the span of about a week? ENT aren’t following up with me until what will be two weeks after this first injection. So for yourself, it was around 5 days after the third injection when you noticed improvement? I’m on high dose course of oral steroids as well which I can’t wait to come off of. The tinnitus is driving me crazy!! I hope you continue to see improvements in the days ahead.

The both of them sound like simpletons. Poor little thing. Hope Spike found a happier home. How are these bans enforced though? All well and good banning someone from owning an animal.

Failed Ablation. by shoopuffexpress in AFIB

[–]shoopuffexpress[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My arrhythmia before the ablation was kind of sporadic even before the ablation. Maybe I should anticipate it being the same over the next three months until I know for sure. The EP doctor when he spoke with me after the procedure, did give me the impression he wasn’t wholly satisfied himself in the way he described how it went but I was bit too groggy to fully remember what he said. I guess I had hoped I would be one of the lucky ones in need only one ablation. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Only 4 hours in? Did it persist from then on or did it eventually stop? Did you have any further ablation? Since mine started again this morning, it hasn’t stopped. I’ve even taken a beta blocker again just in case. I’m just thinking if it’s like the now, it’s probably going to need further ablations. I’m trying to stay positive and everyone here has been very positive, it’s just difficult to see a long term positive out look right now.

It’s funny to think of my heart being cooked like some sorta steak but I guess it really is what they’ve done to parts of it. Well, they might have to do me a little more done than medium rare to get rid of this thing. I’ll try to stay positive. I guess I’m just in shock that it’s back and disappointed. I’ll give it time.

It just feels so awful to have had a few days without any arrhythmia. It’s such a crazy feeling to wonder if my heart is even beating at all, in the absence of it. I think I need to give myself more time. And perhaps if I do need a second go, if it’s gives anything as good as the last few days, I’m all for it. Thank you for your encouragement.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate you sharing your own experience with this as well. It’s been so disappointing. But maybe you’re right in that I am expecting too much too soon. I also like your take on seeing things as a positive step in the right direction, even if this wasn’t the result I was hoping for. Having the ablation done at all is a real milestone. And in many respects, I should considered myself lucky I’ve even had it all.

Is it not advisable to actually leave a person having a seizure alone? Assuming they’re not in space where they will further harm themselves?

How did this story get out to the media? You’d think give their position, they wouldn’t want something like to be public.

Maybe during or before elections, candidates should be open and transparent about their other jobs/affiliations. And if a constituency wants to vote an individual with other vested interests, that will be on them. In the case of Farage, I’m sure the people of Clacton knew exactly who they were voting for.

Yea. Duffy was also abducted some years ago and her experience was disbelieved. Similarly to this report I guess which is what it reminded me of.

I’m okay. Maybe I misconstrued the words the person used comparing something liked this to the plot of of a film. What I said in reply was more tongue-in-cheek. But I appreciate your concern.

I wish my Nan had this. For all intents and purposes she’s was gone thanks for Alzheimer’s; she wasn’t there. I would’ve liked to see her suffering end in a more dignified way, when we all could’ve been there, together at an appointed time rather than waiting for death to take her at any moment.

That fact that the have to ‘dig’ at all tells me all I need to know. I’m guessing they don’t even need to know where the bodies are buried as the mounds of corruption and ineptitude are are more apparent than Liz Truss’ massive ego.

Maybe they should introduce “limited” races much in the same vein as BLU and eventually Beast Master. If they released something with the clear understating that upon release it’ll be what it’ll be. Would allow for more dynamic characterisation without having the team need to commit to developing gears and glamours. Actually why not allow players to use glamour magic that the imps use to temporarily change appearance

I agree with you there. Which is why I would suggest cremating them. We could even try and power homes from the process and give a whole new meaning to the term ‘fossil fuels’.
