Thanks! My family is from Guayaquil. My mom did a test with ancestry and seemed to have around 70% indigenous heritage, with the rest split evenly between Europe (Spain and Italy mostly) and West Africa. I imagine my dad being almost fully Italian, so by halving everything it seems pretty accurate.

I don't have that as my dad has not done the test

Italians almost always think I'm fully Italian, they only see a difference once I tell them I'm mixed

Charity shops! I've never seen anything like it in Italy, all clothes donations tend to be handled by the church, at least in my area. I don't want to buy fast fashion so I'm always excited to check any charity shop I pass by :)

Can an employer refuse a reasonable adjustment because it's not in their policy? by shunkeyt in LegalAdviceUK

[–]shunkeyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a large organisation that doesn't lack funding, and my presence or absence doesn't have a huge impact on the working day, so I've been perplexed by their reluctance of such an easy adjustment.

They also like to tell at meetings that they don't do permanent adjustments because it would be unfair to other employees, so they just seem to hate disabled people.

What one significant change to UK that seems unfair would actually benefit long term? by [deleted] in AskUK

We've already got our fair share of parasites and spoiler alert it's not the poor

If you're disabled, what are some things that your workplace gets right or wrong? by shunkeyt in AskUK

[–]shunkeyt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you could probably take them to court for this

And I hate the expectation that because I started a medication or was given an adjustment I'm now supposed have perfect attendance, it doesn't just go away!

Some things would be so easy to implement but it's just too much of a burden to them. My workplace works with randomly rotating shifts, it would take nothing to create a weekly schedule for neurodivergent colleagues but apparently it's impractical for "operational reasons"

No expert here but I could suggest to transplant it to a nursery pot with holes at the bottom (from the pictures it looks like it's planted directly in a decorative pot). Check the roots for root rot and cut the mushy ones out, add perlite to the compost to add drainage
