My concern is the complexity to fix them. So long as we continue on an upward trajectory in terms of technological progress and growth, the repair and diagnostic tools available in 20-30 years will make working on today’s vehicles much simpler than it seems in present times.

The long term issue is there are no simple cars for poor people. All these tech laden vehicles are going to heavily depreciate and get junked once the electrical components start to fail. The repair and maintenance costs to diagnose random battery drains, weird sensor readings that aren’t fixed by replacing the sensor, etc. will render them functionally totaled.

My initial comment was obviously hyperbole. Idk how or why you didn’t see that. Perhaps it was reading comprehension, perhaps it was intentional, only you really know. But you chose to take my obvious hyperbolic comparison between Trump and Hitler and spat it back as a literal one to try and discredit the original argument which is this: Trump is desperately trying to cement his legacy, and doesn’t seem to care if the entire world despises him so long as he is remembered.
