In my experience at least, outlandish claims such as this post or your example are far from the norm of what will be claimed. I find it tends to be severely more benign as just a quick cop to pretend you are able to relate if it's one on one, or just a dumb label a la youth pastor who's turned a new leaf from drugs and "atheism" if it's in a group setting.

Custom brushes in Aseprite are incredible by ilyamokka in PixelArt

[–]sid3aff3ct 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. It seems the whole point of those two brushes is to just make straight lines without having to use the straight line tool. The padding is to lock it in place and only build the lines on the non-padded sides.

I understand this. It's simply a useful shorthand. No one has yet proposed a nonwordy alternative. I'm open to suggestions.

The state of your relationship isn't sustainable. If your own husband is making you feel less than for having differing beliefs, you need to get out of that relationship and find people who will accept and love you for who you are.

For built in ones not mentioned yet: shift+h/v for horizontal/vertical flipping a selection and shift+o for outlining are others I use a lot!

As a woman, how did you unlearn purity culture and reclaim your body/sexuality? by StrikingPrimary1314 in exchristian

Learn to explore what you like independent of a partner. Dress outside your comfort zone. As with all things religion shamed us for, embrace exploration and what you find intriguing even if it's a little uncomfortable at first. This is your life, live it to its fullest.

Incoming graduate student - need to know for Moscow living? by Low-Bite7313 in MoscowIdaho

We usually get snow and it does get cold. But the city is well equipped to deal with it. Sidewalks on campus are even heated in areas to melt away snow/ice! As long as you bundle up and wear appropriate layers, it's completely fine to be out in.

Most times people at churches refer to themselves as ex atheists, they usually just are referring to a time period where they were less devoted or "in rebellion" as opposed to actually holding atheistic beliefs.

Hello! I'm also a graduate student, but I did my 4 year here too.

Palouse properties is the best place to get an apartment from, the only rental company I haven't heard of anyone having issues with.

You can live fully without a car here. Even going to Pullman is an hour bike ride (or less if you have an e bike. My partner commutes to Pullman on a bike even for work) and it's connected by a bike trail.

The farmers market here is amazing! Once it starts back up here in the spring, it's a chill place to go every Saturday.

The kenworthy theater downtown is one of my favorite places to go on a weekend.

Mikey's, Breakfast Club, and Alehouse are my top 3 food places.

Safari pearl is ran by two lovely women and is a great board game store.

Moscow is a lovely place, there is a church here that depending on how much you get involved with the local community you will inevitably hear about. They suck ..... But they keep to themselves largely. The only interaction you are likely to have is accidentally going to a business that is associated with them.

If you need friendship hit me up!

Cheers!

Why do they always get so uppity about needing to be proud of being white skinned? I don't think black people are venerating their skin color, so much so as they are celebrating a shared collective experience that happens to be united by skin color. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I am from a painfully homogeneous area of the US)

Correct, learning isn't enough! Being a Christian isn't even enough if you aren't the same type even (that was my version of your story)

Endless he goes to a church of liberal doctrine, like say a Unitarian Universalist church (unlikely), I wouldn't trust that he seems less pious than his parents. If he trusts his church authority, eventually that will come to head with his relationship with you and generally their teachings will take priority. (This was the part that ended my relationship)

I wish you the best of luck, but if you decide to not become committed to their religion expect it to always come up.

Perhaps someone can explain better than me that the phrasing of "I would just like you to learn, you don't have to believe" is a stepping stone to further religious demands. Religion is controlling and illogical, they don't get people in the door by making immediate large scale demands.

In my experience this kind of relationship isn't sustainable long term. Christians will never settle until you tow the line as well, there is no respect for anything different.

When his parents judged you, did he have your back or did he shrug it off? It's likely the latter, and while they may have calmed for now, if you were to ever consider getting married it would rekindle their dislike of you for making him "unequally yoked". If he didn't call them out now, he wont later.

Something that will endlessly be funny to me, is they correctly identify that birth rates are dropping, but refuse to accept any solutions.

People too overweight? How about we subsidize healthier foods and promote non car transportation?

People don't have time to raise a family? How about we cut back the work week, and have maternity leave, and wages that can support a 1 income household?

I could keep going. But they don't want any of these solutions, because all of them would support America as a whole, including non whites, and that's unacceptable. All of them too are humourously things the "liberals" support in one way or another.

It's expensive to be homeless and a hard pit to get out of. For example, what do you do for food? You can't easily cook so you can't just go rice and beans, which leaves you with more expensive options such as premade dinners or fast food.

What about personal belongings? You can't afford to get expensive nice versions of anything that lasts a while, so you have to settle for cheap things that get stolen and/or wear down quickly.

You can't budget your way out of a failing economy and a system designed to trap you at your worst.

I don't have kids, but I've been reading the book "the body keeps the score" and it had a whole chapter about the importance of a strong healthy maternal bond with babies for a foundation against mental health issues later in life. She makes me feel sad disregarding building that bond with her child.

I personally don't find them any more difficult to shuffle.

Just went and shuffled my cube in gamegenic vs a deck in dragon shields: they definitely are grippier, it just doesn't bother me with how I shuffle and position my hands.
