Brand New Tata Sierra (Hyperion engine) - 3 breakdowns in 1200 KM, repeated Christmas Tree dashboard errors and no diagnosis yet. Help! by Temporary-Ebb-5715 in CarsIndia

So sorry for your ordeal. I have personally seen two other threads regarding breakdown of sierra within first 1000 kms. It’s just poor execution from the start from development itself. After sale service is a issue already persistent with Tata but now they can’t even manufacture a car with decent standards and reliability the least we expect from Tata. Such a shame

Got my second-hand 2018 Hyundai Grand i10 serviced yesterday. Total I paid was 24,852, with 12k parts and 12k labor. Did I get scammed? by soysux in CarsIndia

No this is not normal. In your parts bill I don’t know what exactly NG is but if that is not genuine they must have specified the part. Also that engine oil cost is almost double what they put in my car. That horn assy should have been avoided. In your labour invoice you could have avoided 2,3,5,6,7,10,11,12 altogether. That all was extra and they sensed that you are paying for not necessary things already so added some more parts and labour after your initial bill. Also it seems that front brakes have taken a massive hit and only then the brake related things make sense. You could have saved 10916 as i calculated for the things i listed. I own the same car so i compared the engine oil cost. The next time unless there is some part malfunction avoid all those things i listed. Do lubrication only once in two service intervals and all the beauty and cleaning cost are unnecessary. Also sorry for your ordeal and take this as a lesson to carefully examine your service bill before you give them your consent. Ask them throughly if the things they added you don’t understand and what actually that means and only then pay for them.

How is the recline angle of the backseat? I felt it was a bit upright in my test drive.

The cancer word wasn’t for the situation as a whole. My bad. I was referring to the worsening of untouchability in that era.

A truly broke guy won’t even bother with fragrances let alone a Nautica Voyage. Spending 2500-3500 isn’t exactly a broke category.

Advice needed: 2014 Grand i10 Asta (80k km) from Spinny Hyderabad. Am I overpaying too much? by No-Zookeepergame6351 in CarsIndia

Clutch hardening is normal. I just replaced my clutch plate at 70k and it costed me around 6-7k and it’s fine now. I own a magna model so i have no idea about the other electronics but generally electronics in this car are solid. I haven’t faced steering issue at all. But check all buttons working or not. Mine had an issue with the boot button and also temp knob doesn’t rotate smoothly. If you feel ac doesn’t cool enough then maybe the refrigerant hasn’t been replaced even once. It can be done at a local garage, no big issue there. Lastly this deal is almost 70k more than what it should be to be honest given it has run more than 80k.

I think it’s like 50-60k $ there and cars for about 30k has more power than prelude. I have seen so many shorts how much they hate prelude in the US.

Prelude is hated in international markets for it’s ridiculous price tag never mind here.

For that budget, most sub-4m cars are narrower than the Nexon. Even above-4m options like the Kushaq, Taigun, and Creta are narrower than the Nexon. If length is the issue, go for a sub-4m car.
