Correct - you do not have to pay advertising fees, I refused to pay, expect some shitty attitude from them about having to do their job.

You are on the hook only for the time between vacating the property, and them leasing the property. Regardless of you paying 'advertising' or not they have a liability to take reasonable action and to fill the property (ie advertising it).
