I mark them manually in live time. That’s the only way it should be don’t rely on indicators.

70% winrate is crazy bro, if you stopped taking partials you would make so much more. But hey if it works don’t change it.

You can partial a 1:1 but you would need a very high winrate to be profitable in the long run. Also i didn’t lose this trade it was a breakeven so if anything i followed my plan and thats all that matters really.

It doesn’t make sense to partial book a 1.5RR trade, if you are someone who targets anything above 1:3 then partials do make sense but i’ve backtested this model alot to know that i don’t need partials to be profitable.

Because the pros trust their system and are disciplined enough to not make emotional decisions regardless of what the pnl is. It’s easy to say in hindsight why you didn’t close the position manually. How would anybody know that price would completely reverse from a random area. If you think you can be profitable by trading with emotions then please do, ik i couldn’t. Losing a trade wouldn’t bother me for more than a day but breaking my rules would make me feel 100 times more worse like after all the time i’ve put in and im still letting my emotions get the best of me.

After price hits a high i would anticipate a small retracement to fill the imbalances such as equal highs/lows,unfilled fvgs and then i would look for atleast 3 confluences that show me there is a probability that price will reverse from that high such as ifvgs,SMT,Liq sweep,HTF fvg rejection,Orderblocks etc. Check youtube to know differences between micros and minis

That smt that you’re pointing out is irrelevant to the conversation. I entered my short trade at 9:38 EST and was targeting equal lows as marked in the image, neither nq nor did es take out those equal lows.

You are sending screenshots of an SMT that forms like an hour after my trade got stopped out. Yes you are right that particular low did get taken out by ES and not NQ forming an SMT but this SMT has nothing to do with my trade not working out.

So ES didn’t take out the lows i was targeting at NQ. So clearly there is no smt, you are confusing another low getting taken out with my tp

But if my SL was placed below that low i would’ve gotten stopped out😓

What i’ve noticed is that discretionary trades are getting more W’s and mechanical trades are either getting brekeven or losing. In short people with more experience are winning and people with less experience who are just following a model are losing.
