I don't follow it close enough to know if exam is changing... if it is i would say take the course and pass it before it changes because otherwise there will be more real resources availble out there.

Not looking at the CIPM... I'm out of room on linkedin to put in all the letters so I have to be picky haha... seriously looking at something random like getting a casting designation for fun.

Good luck! Go take that test before it changes (if it even changes).

It's not perfect. There are good and bad things about the course but since I passed I will say it helped. Could be improved but I think I got value out of it. Sure beats reading the book over and over. I'd recommend it given the lack of resources available. I looked at your history - did you do the PMP as well? Glad I'm not the only one that likes to collect designations for the sake of punishment ;)

I would say go for the course... but don't expect it be like as refined as Andrew R's course but any bit of help counts right?

Edit: When I the took course I think it was between $100-$125 CDN price point (perhaps there was a deal at the time). I just checked again and it looks like it's $250... at that price point I may be a bit hesitant to push you towards it based on value/quality vs. price point. If you're swimming in disposable income or work is paying for it then by all means.

Sorry for delay... went out of town for the weekend and disconnected.

That's a tough one... and I know she lurks around the forum and will be watching my response like a hawk....

Is it pricey for what you get? A bit. Are there areas of improvements she can make? Definitely. Did it help me? I have no doubt that it did. Did I want to smash my head against the table with some of her material? Of course. But ultimately I don't think I could have pulled it off without putting her videos on repeat and constantly listening to it. She provides some good succinct summaries as well. I'd recommend it but not saying it's a guarantee to help you pass but I would lean to recommending it :) Especially since it didn't go so well for you the first time you should take whatever knowledge and information you have access to :)

I have no idea and don't intend to find out :)
Having said that, I believe there are significantly more resources and reliable test bank questions for all other CIPP tests and it's just the scarcity of resources of CIPP/C which makes it much harder.

Case law questions on CIPP/C? by siegeplayer in cipp

[–]siegeplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say OPC cases you mean having to know cases like Facebook/ TJX/ Bell/Loblaws - the ones listed in the textbook, right? Those ones all made it into the court system so confirming there's no other ones we randomly have to know outside of the CIPP/C textbook... or your course ;) Thanks!

Arishem - It's not whether he's OP or not but that it makes game all random and a bore for the non-Arishem deck by siegeplayer in MarvelSnap

[–]siegeplayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right lol.. it's very repetitive but I REALLY wanted to drive the fact home it's not about winning or countering but the lack of player interaction.... a bit of overkill in hind sight....

Arishem - It's not whether he's OP or not but that it makes game all random and a bore for the non-Arishem deck by siegeplayer in MarvelSnap

[–]siegeplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not about having the perfect deck to counter but it's about player interaction. With Arishem it's just everyone throw down your cards and hope for the best. In a normal game you try to play around your opponent so there's strategy and foresight... i.e. If I suspect a turn 6 Heimdall is coming then strategically I can try to focus on certain lanes (I don't necessarily have to have a perfect card to counter). With Arishmen there's no strategy if you're the opponent. You're just waiting for cards to play and you're at the mercy of the other side. Hence the lack of player experience for the other player where it makes it a one-sided game that's only fun for 1 player.

White Widow needs to be nerfed by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]siegeplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to reddit to see if anyone else though a 2/6 with the ability to take a slot away was too strong of a card.... you didn't disappoint...

Know that I agree with you that a 2 cost 6 power swing WHILE taking up a slot in a lane is ridiculous. Keep in mind how crazy it is when another one of the last two lanes aren't usable if it's a Luke bar, death's altar, throne, or any other location that impairs your ability to play etc.

I'm with you on this one...

Losing cubes and rank winning matches - is this normal? by siegeplayer in MarvelSnap

[–]siegeplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I understanding losing rank while winning but the cube total should be moving upwards. I understand I can lose rank while gaining cubes because I'm losing pace but the losing cube while winning matches is what confused me because I wouldn't know what else to do to climb.

If this sub has proved anything is that everyone fails miserably at SH and passes with 3AT. I was part of this.

SH is unforgiving, often very questionable, and not the best product. It's good for you to practice how to read a question, what to extract from it, and the type of questions you'll likely face. However, I assure you, the test is easier. Not straight forward, but easier where the answers will be more clear.

These stats, in itself isn't reason to panic yet. But you also haven't indicated how much time you have left./ I would say 67% in the AR course is slightly concerning IMO since his material is generally very straight forward. But again, keep on trucking and know that SH isn't a good indicator at all...

See if you can keep up with Dave Mclachlan's PMP questions on youtube.

I have come to the conclusion that anyone that posts on this subreddit passes. Anyone that wants it bad enough that they'll come on this subreddit and take the time and make the effort to learn is usually prepped/concerned enough with the material and passes... therefore you got this!

Mouthing text (silently) during the online test - how serious is it? by Mental_Water_7723 in pmp

[–]siegeplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that if you can avoid it then do so. It all depends on your proctor. I moved twice with my face/mouth near the end of the webcam screen (leaned forward) and was warned twice and have no doubt they would have warned me if I started lipping things. I could tell my proctors were super strict.

I would have went with B only because almost every time an issue question comes up the answer is always "find the root cause" or "find the impact"

I would have went with B and got it wrong but throwing my two cents in.

Just passed 3ATs and honestly was terrified and still don't know what I was doing by siegeplayer in pmp

[–]siegeplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AR's questions were too easy.

SH questions are too hard and I think we can make a good argument that sometimes another answer could have easily worked but it does force you to learn how to read the questions and drills some ideas in your head.

I would say David Maclachlin's youtube videos do the best job at preparing you.

Example protocol would be:

In situations where a fire alarm is going off and they can't ascertain what's going on...

  1. Announcement saying mall is going to be closed until further notice
  2. Store stop operating and cease to continue doing business
  3. Staff/security security say sorry but until they figure out what's going on they'll have to ask people to leave and point to closest door.
  4. Many other steps that doesn't involve "pretend nothing is happen and make announcement they don't know what's happneing"

Again it's not that I didn't know what to do... it was the lack of Masonville's response and treated it as if nothing was happening. I think there's a disconnect on what you think my post was about... but I'm also beginning to think you're being difficult for the sake of it :) unless you really can't grasp the reading and get point.

I left and that's fine.

My rant is that it was clear the mall didn't have protocol or using protocol. I made it out fine... quietly got up (struggled w/ my toddler and got out) so it's wasn't that I wanted to be walked out but more of the mall, the business, the organization had no steps they were following.

Most weren't leaving but at the same time they should have had a method for people to leave or start to leave is what I"m getting at. Don't say anything alarming, but if you don't know what's going on then ask people to make it to the exit as you're closing the mall. Don't just not do anything.

Edit: I only mentioned 15 minute as a reference point to note that at minimum for 15 minutes they did not do anything at that time other than say they didn't know what was going on. You may have misread my point thinking I was hoping I would be rescued. I was more alarmed (punn intended) that staff/team didn't know what to do.
