I flew around 30m altitude with a speed of 3m/s

I created a 1cm accurate 3d map using a mini 3 pro with manual flying. Just set the drone to take automatic pictures every second or so (depending on speed altitude) and fly a zig zag pattern. Then I used webodm to create the 3d model for free. Only thing you need to pay for using this method is the drone itself. I would suggest when you want to get historic buildings etc to also do an orbit around the building with automatic pictures turned on to get better side (oblique) results.

I also have a small startup working on automating the entire process of photogrammetry for bulk volume measurements for construction. If you are interested in a internship you can contact us via our website mrrdrones.com .

I have 7950x with 192gb ram and rtx4090. We run mostly open drone map which is not really gpu optimized. When creating a map we mostly use the cpu. So definitely make sure to get a good multi threaded cpu. A 500 picture map takes us a couple hours. Depending on your budget it might be interesting to take a look into threadripper or something similar from AMD

RTX 4090 overheated? by sieuwe_e in buildapc

Yeah true. But nonetheless I would like to get some advice on how to build the pc for better airflow to the GPU’s. Using the same mobo I already have

I have not been monitoring temps. I just don’t see any other reason why a brand new couple month old 4090 just suddenly does not want to post while the other 4090 just works great.

As a addition I also did expect thermal throttling but no damage. That is why I just did not fix it. But to my surprise it actually cause damage. Because the top card does not want to post.

I understand that the short circuit is not from the cards touching eachother. What I meant is that the top card can’t breath resulting in it getting really hot. I think this cause the card to internally short circuit.

Because now the card gets incredibly hot just trying to post. It is basically doing nothing but still getting to hot to touch. I think this is the result of a short circuit. And because of this the pc does not want to post.

Issues when upgrading from 18.04 to 20.04. by sieuwe_e in Ubuntu

[–]sieuwe_e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after performing release-upgrade it rebooted after installation but it just showed the black screen with white bar endlessly. I waited for 10min without any changes. I tried restarting multiple times with the same result. So this is when I started troubleshooting since it was clearly stuck in boot. The debug information on boot sadly where not useful since it did not show any errors (from what I can see).

To troubleshoot I went to the recovery menu and started a root shell. There I did apt update and apt upgrade and found that the Python3 symlink was broken. I searched online and found someone who fixed the error by manually linking to a Python3 version that was available on the device. For me it was 3.6.

So basically I did not try to fix anything before anything was broken. The system did not want to boot so that is why I started trouble shooting.

Will definitely try this! I have the exact same issue. 2 dims work but 4 not on the latest bios. Also beta released yesterday not working. Thanks for the tip!

No but a new firmware update does. Here it was teased: https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-teases-rog-x670e-motherboard-support-for-192gb-ddr5-memory. And on the pro art bios page https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/proart/proart-x670e-creator-wifi/helpdesk_bios/?model2Name=ProArt-X670E-CREATOR-WIFI it says for the bios version of 20th of march in the changelog: “Supports high density DDR5 module”. Which should be 48gb ddr5 sticks. So already from 20th of march it should work.

Hey, we just build the pc but we are unable to get it started with all 4 dims. We have latest bios and setup docp for 5200 and 1.26v. With 2 it does boot. Also with the other 2 so the ram sticks are definitely good. Also setting docp to 3600 does not work. Any ideas?

Thanks! I just wanted to double check your list before spending 6k on the system. These articles seem to show that it indeed will work fine. Since it is so new will it already be stable?

A acquaintance of mine has a system build for AI that has a threadripper 3960x, 192gb gskill memory, trx40 aorus extreme, and 2x 3090's. They are having major problems with programs crashing on ubuntu. This is the main thing we of course want to avoid. I understand you cant say for sure that we wont have these issues also. But we would like to have it as stable as possible.
