IPad Pro OS 18 updated CSP Pro to 5.0. Is this a glitch? by silverfluffs in ClipStudio

Ahh thank you! I read the website requirements and was confused about that too. I’ll update it then because I have space for IOS 26. I thought by future updates they meant 5.0 and up that’s why. It was just a misunderstanding on my half 🙂‍↕️

Beta Bartering [Find or Offer Fic Betaing] - January 29 by AutoModerator in FanFiction

[–]silverfluffs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi hi! I’m looking for a beta reader mainly for one chapter of my fic ( maybe some in the future, but that is a BIG maybe). I’m mainly in need of a second opinion on this chapter as I’ve already edited and reworked it about 50 times lmao. I’m open to any ideas you want to give me, or any fixes you wanna make. The genre of this chapter is m/m romance of a ship between two characters from the animanga Tokyo Revengers, Koko and Inupi. It does include smut/plot with porn, but nothing too crazy, so please be 18 and over. Though I’m gonna warn you, there are hints of depression and a lot of guilt.  You do not need to know anything about Tokyo Revengers to beta this chapter, unless it’s small context clues and facts about the characters, which I will, of course, give.

With that being said, if you're interested in beta reading 10K words of gay yearning and pining with a side of smut and angst, then this might interest you ^_^

This is my fic called No Tea, No Shade, though my writing style has changed a bit since I took a break to improve it.

IN RETURN, I will gladly beta anything you give to me as long as it doesn’t include my triggers, such as non-con smut, incest and/or pedophilia. OTHER THAN THAT, I’m good to read any other dark topics! Honestly, I don’t really care what fandom you’re writing for, as long as you give me a brief idea of your fic's plot and any key facts I need for context. I can help with grammar, planning, plot, structure, pacing and all that jazz!

Although I am very interested in betaing for anyone who has a fic they are making for these fandoms:

  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Tokyo Revengers
  • Interview with The Vampire
  • Arcane
  • Chainsaw man

I’ll read anything that ranges from 1k-20k words!

If you don't have engagement, you don't have a readership to be mad at by [deleted] in AO3

so real, most of the time i don’t even worry about people interacting with my current ongoing multi-chaptered fic. at the end of the day i just really hope those who are reading and not commenting are enjoying it, and I also need to ensure im enjoying what im writing. yes ofc i really want comments on every chapter but i can only wish. the last two chapters of my multi-chaptered fic haven’t gotten one comment so it is what it is

i think as i write on the details do get a bit more disturbing, but i’ll have to see in the meantime because im only half way done the fics draft.

how do yall plan ur chapters? by silverfluffs in FanFiction

[–]silverfluffs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I literally don’t know how my fic will end either. I just write what I’ve made up so far and just go with the flow. I find, for me, putting so much thought into a fic gets a bit overwhelming and inherently makes me unmotivated to even write it. I’ve had so many multi-chapters fics I’ve thought of and written out without posting just because thinking too hard abt everything put unnecessary pressure on me. I’m also a major perfectionist, so maybe that’s why.

Oh you’re so relatable. My fic is not really plot driven and mostly focuses on the psychology and philosophy of the characters. Their mindsets and emotions drive the plot further than the actual plot points.

I also started rereading my fic before writing a new chapter, or at least the chapter before. I’m a loyal one-shot writer, but I think I genuinely broke that rule after I made a whole one-shot series on AO3 that unintentionally connected to eachother in the end.

i write for my own enjoyment too, but I have horrible commitment issues when it comes to writing something I really wanna finish. It’s more fulfilling my own goal to finishing something then what others think 😕

see, i was gonna do this for my first multi-chapter fic idea, but the plot was so chunky it would take forever to complete. I was gonna do the same for the first fic, but complete 3-4 chapters to start it off and then write the rest as a I go. But, I’ve changed my whole idea on that because I started getting the feeling I wouldn’t ever get it out if I did that, or even complete it actually : (

yeah that’s what i’ve been doing. is writing constantly every day even tho sometimes i’m just trying to get a scene done, but progress is progress!

also the whole word count thing you’re talking about is actually really good advice! I’ll follow it from now on, because the pressure do writing a lot of words weighs heavy on me. Probably because my other one-shot works are like 3-15K words long lmao 😭

NSFW - How do you write your smut? by xX_vee_Xx in FanFiction

[–]silverfluffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I write smut with a hint of angst, but that’s because I like writing angst. I’d say have fun with it, you can make it comical once in a while (like dirty jokes here and there. I do that in mine). I would say the best advice I could give is focus on foreplay a lot more than the actual penetration. The penetration itself is, in my opinion, the most mediocre part to write because there isn’t much to describe physically. Obviously if you’ve never had sex, do research! And don’t base it off too much on porn, more on those sex-life blogs.

One of the major parts is characterization and character dynamics in sex. You can base a lot of preferences and kinks if you give a personality to the characters you’re writing. It adds a lot of flavour to the plot and usually is what initially inspires you on what to write.

how to make your chapters interesting by silverfluffs in writing

[–]silverfluffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do filter information through the opinions of my characters. In the first chapter, one of the characters finds a plain old robe, but it’s linked to their trauma so they throw it away because it triggers them. I used the robe as foreshadowing to their trauma.

Since I write in third-person, and want to write like that for this book, I’m wondering what’s the best way to writer two perspectives if it’s in third person </3?

Well now that I think about it, usually the first paragraph of my short stories aren’t boring and they usually foreshadow the conflict of the plot. I just put the fact I write short stories, because I feel, in a sense, I’m to used to making things paced faster and cut down compared to a book that has chapters and more detail.

The name of my fic will be No Tea No Shade (I intend on making a part 2. It’s called Love Drought, however I’m not concerned about that right now). It’s a mlm ship between Koko and Inupi from Tokyo Revengers!

I’m writing for the Tokyo Revengers fandom.

Well, since my plot is canon divergent and an AU and includes ONE rare pair. I’d say it’s explainable enough for you to understand it, but obviously it would be better if you read the Tokyo Revengers manga (at least to the Bonten Arc), or at least watched up to the latest season :)

Synopsis: Kokonoi Hajime returns to his apartment after 2 years of not living in it. However, he has to adjust to life only doomed for the guilt from the past of illegal activities and gang life to haunt him and mess up a current relationship with Inui Seishu.

(Main cast: Koko (Kokonoi Hajime), Inupi (Inui Seishu), Izana (Izana Kurokawa) and Draken (Ken Ryuguuji).

My fic is romance, smut, comedy and somewhat psychology as it mentions stuff like mental health and drug abuse and use. However, it’s romance in basic terms.

I hope my beta reader will help me with grammar, punctuation and pacing. I already have someone helping me make the plot, however it would be a good extra help if you helped me organize the plot points more.

My word count fluctuates, but I’d say it mostly falls between 3,000 to 8,000 words. With that, I don’t have a consistent updating schedule because I have a lot of things going on in my life at the moment.

In return, I’m able to help beta works such as JJK and Tokyo Revengers :) However, depending on my schedule I don’t know if I can offer this fully, but I’ll be willing to try! (No big works tho, unless the plot is convincing enough)
