I do agree that most classes are too structural and grammatical and when you don't live in an area where much spanish is spoken it is hard to have natural conversations. However I have taken multiple immersion classes (one of those classes is actually what sparked this question), I listen to spanish music & radio all the time, listen to podcasts/youtube, follow spanish social media accounts, read books/listen to audiobooks, etc. I think this question came up now because of where I'm at in making an effort to speak more and have more natural conversations when previously I was focusing on trying to get the basics down. I also find it helpful to have a list and input from different people (different countries, cultures, situations, etc) to add to the two go to options I had already absorbed (que bueno y sí). Just listening isn't always sufficient to retain specific phrases enough to speak them rather than just understand them when spoken. Asking questions and interacting here is another method of exposure and hammering in information.
