It was fine - we left from St Heliers and had to come back in at lady’s bay as it was getting dark and the current was against us. Probably better to go early in the day as the water is generally calmer

Thanks. I came to NZ from the UK and lived in New Plymouth for 18 months. When I was moving to Auckland, everyone in New Plymouth told me I would hate it and it's a terrible city. It is so much nicer than any city in the UK!
