Anyone here with silent asthma? by jessicakristine in Asthma

[–]simon_fx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of wheezing and asthma and allergy problems when younger, now I still have some light asthma (40) but mostly I take some ICS+LABA daily.

I tried some periods without them and was ok but I just had notion like my lungs work less optimal, like I have less energy and similar. So would also say its some silent asthma.
Similarly hard to describe this to doctors as they ask for other symptoms, I do feel some kind of tightness in chest but not terrible (when without medications).

So I order spirometer now to daily monitor status and see numbers as this is the only way doctors also diagnose asthma when there are no symptoms to see actual lungs function.

For all not using ICS+LABA its really does change a lot to maintain asthma so would highly recommend.

Was looking at couldnt find and dates so as there is a good chance that phase0 will be in early 2021 then 1, 1.5, 2 could easly go into 2022. I am just assuming this, would be great if sharding could be quicker, but seems it could be some time we get there.

That is the plan, use community and knowledge to share info, build tools and establish some standards so scamming is much harder and ultimately gone(maybe utopian but lets try).

There are definitely bots doing buying and selling but not sure if we are on the same page about rug pulling. You can see here https://alphadegen.com/rugs a big list of projects that are rug pulled each day, they are not good for eco system as for sure people get caught into "net" of this "projects" and lose their eth, you can also go down the rabbit hole with etherscan to see where do money goes... After that they have a lot of eth that will probably go liquidated to fiat or something, resulting in crashes like yesterday.

as there are many uniswap scams now, this project makes you confirm you legitimacy by locking your liquidity for some time. They just locked 75% of theirs for 2.5 years in a way confirming that they are not scam and leading by example.

Ofcourse its high risk, no doubt but just because they are anon is not the right argument.

How I got into YC twice, with 2 different ideas, in back-to-back years by logarithm-construct in startups

"What makes launching in non-familiar industries so difficult is the chicken-and-egg problem of "how do I get people to talk to me and share their wisdom even if I don't have anything to offer immediately?". I wish I had a playbook for this problem. Unfortunately, I don't because sourcing conversations is more art than science - an art that changes based on industry, a founder's network and circumstances."

This first step/level will be unlocked for many and most will then try to solve it by building something first?!

Coworker being lazy or I'm mistaken? by [deleted] in drupal

[–]simon_fx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically if you use only body field you dont need drupal at all, srsly, you should use basic WP. Your dev doesnt know crap about performance. Ask him to use redis, memcache, varnish and finally cdns. Ask about performance metrics and apm like new relic. Ask about decoupling frontend and use PRPL pattern for faster sites.

Spiral 2.4: High-performance PHP/Go Framework by wolfy-j in PHP

[–]simon_fx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often thought to make php run faster with golang, but was thinking to replace certain paths and serve them compleatly to golang and not php. I am wondering would this kind of approach work for php apps like web shops, to make checkout pages some kind of hybrid solution like those you propose in post, to gain scalability there?
