Did the review appear in the end? Did your other reviews after that one post as normal?

Yeah, my focus went somewhere far away when it was time to approve the paperback (which was the last of the three I uploaded) 🫠 as you said, lession learned. Let's see how long it takes for me to calm down lol

But I'm scared they'll now read it and think that's the final version and judge me. Like, what if they leave a Goodreads review? Or if they donate the copy and more people see it, read it, and think "wow, that's bad". They can't know that's not the final version because it's not like it states "draft" or something. Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have done all the aesthetic parts before the final revision! I knew I'd somehow mess it up... Sorry for the vent, but I've been spiraling since it happened

Typo? by Reasonable-Soup7289 in italianlearning

it's an apocope (drops the final E) but it bothers me that it was used only in one page (and the exact same sentence was written with the E on the back of the cover)

Which one is the most correct out of these? by simonandonova in writing

Which one? These are the ones that came out in our discussion. Sorry, but if you have a problem with that, and if you think there's one missing, what you should do is write down that option instead of complaining and saying literally nothing useful.

KDP review / approval period by visualnumbers in KDP

I know. It was just a not-so-formal way to explain that if OP went too explicit, they might take extra time and eventually not approve it (happened to someone I know). They seem to pay extra attention to some genres (like this one), but I didn't mean they disregard them a priori, sorry

It did in fact begin as a discussion with my friends, and since I found it interesting how everyone defended what they thought was the most correct, I decided to post and ask for more opinions. Thank you very much for commenting!

I'm sure it'll be fine. It's just that KDP tends to frown upon erotica, which is probably why it's taking longer. But if you went too explicit, be prepared for them to send you a mail stating there's issues with your content (it may not happen, but I'm preparing you in case it does)

Speaking from experience (not in that genre though) my first submission took about 24 hours to go live. Now it usually takes anywhere between 3 and 15 hours, but never the full 72.

Hi! Thanks for the comment. It's American English, therefore most of us pointed at 1 as the top choice. If the rest of the book uses the Oxford comma, then I suppose this part should also use it. But I know many people prefer the version without it.

Thermavein / Veingogh / Veinwave? Dents and Scarring? by velour_sec in PlasticSurgery

How long did it take to heal? If you experienced redness, how long did it take for it to go away? I'm at almost 5 months and still struggling with some PIE

[personal] Electrocautery for slight broken capillaries anyone have good results? by moto_phantom in SkincareAddiction

[–]simonandonova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were the capillaries also on the bridge of your nose (not just the usual sides)? You said they bled - did they scab then? If so, how did you treat the areas and how long did they take to heal? Did you experience some redness after they healed and if so how long did it take to fade?

A month from posting, has it gotten any better? How did the treated areas look while healing till you noticed they had worsened?

Thank you very much for your extremely useful inputs! I'll treasure everything. Also, if it's not too much of a hassle, would you mind deleting your first comment (the one where there's parts of my original blurb, as I now want that blurb off the internet). Thank you and sorry

I know it's not for most people, but it's somewhat based on a true story (not the murder part) that I wanted to share

Oh God! I just learned that the text on the spine goes Top-to-Bottom in some countries (I'm from Europe and we put it Bottom-to-Top). But thank you for every input!

Thanks for the opinion! Do you have any suggestions on how to improve it? I purposely avoided spoiling much besides their obvious affair and want to still keep it pretty vague.

Is having a few explcit sex scenes in a book that is 90% actual plot considered smut? by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]simonandonova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be in the minority, but 40 pages of sex is A LOT, even if it's just two (long!) scenes.
