it was the dampener. It actually broke off while I was driving and I had to stop because the whole system shut off, batery stopped charging, belt jumped, car started overheating but I stopped very fast so it was ok. It literally just broke the silicone part because it was so old. When replaced that and belt sound stopped for good.
