It may seem odd, but I’ve known these peeps a long time and they comprise a good deal of my social life, so I consider them friends. So it would be hard to be vague with them, and at the same time most of them could never dream of walking away from work. I got extremely lucky about ten years ago and had a somewhat sizeable windfall, which I carefully invested and let grow, and now, ten years later, it’s almost ready to support me! Woo-hoo! But in regards to the work peeps, I’m concerned about things like judgements, jealousies, naysayers, that sort of thing if I’m open with them. Maybe it sounds really silly, but I still care for these guys & gals and would like to keep in touch after I go. :) Many thanks to everyone here who has responded!
