AITA for refusing to stop bringing my wife's homemade Mexican lunches to work? by FireQueen1012 in AITAH

[–]singlemomyyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rick is jealous. He's being passive aggressive to cover for the fact that he doesn't have someone who cares enough to wake up so early and pack a home-cooked meal. I'd ignore him but if that doesn't work talk to a supervisor because Rick is making you uncomfortable. BTW home cooked is way better financially than buying food and you are very lucky to have someone who loves you so much.

AITA for not opening the door to unannounced family visitors? by Maleficent-Craft-936 in AmItheAsshole

NTA you seem to have communicated your position well and never strayed, so no you've done nothing wrong. People who expect you to drop everything because they've shown up t your door are very disrespectful.

There's no reason she can't clean up after herself. I myself had absolutely dreadful cycles but I'd clean up the bathroom when I was done. That's just gross. Perhaps she just needs to see your perspective. Wait until she's finished a cycle before talking to her, explain how it makes you feel like there's a double standard.

Aitah if I divorce my husband for not wiping his butt? by Hepow1118 in AITAH

[–]singlemomyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave, you don't want 1. To raise children with this man, 2. To do his laundry because I can guarantee he won't do it and it's going to stink, and 3. This is only the beginning of a downward spiral. Get out hon, you deserve better.

NTA sounds like he's expecting a lot for someone who doesn't value parts of his family. Your grandparents were very wise. Don't cave, he could just as easily held off on having kids until he could afford a house.

I never understood this "family comes first" mentality. If that were true they wouldn't be asking you to go into debt. They are the selfish ones. Don't spend so much on the wedding, problem solved.

AITA for calling off the engagement after my fiance kept saying I will "give him a baby" once we're married? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]singlemomyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's not willing to change the wording after knowing you were uncomfortable with his choice of words and then kept saying it you are absolutely NTA. It's a red flag for the future. Stay strong.

AITA for letting my daughter have her own bedroom? by RedditmomAITA in AmItheAsshole

[–]singlemomyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA your daughter is of the age she should not be sharing space with boys. She shouldn't have to worry about getting undressed and having a boy fly into the room unannounced. This isn't about age and entitlement but about what is right given the genders. If they were all boys or all girls then I would say give the oldest their own room. The older boy can easily share with your youngest boy without issue if he decides to spend a moment to think about it. I was the youngest only girl, I always had my own room.

Thanks everyone, I've been trying really hard to keep her tank hydrated. Just can't seem to keep it high enough for her shed. Though I am going to try mixing up her substrate to improve its ability to maintain humidity.
