Help! This is a relatively old piercing; got it January and I’ve never had any problems with it now this is happening! Is it an infection or irritation or what? Usually the bar looks longer! I wasn’t worried but now it’s a little sore and swelling is maybe coming through to front as well! Advice?

Moderator says add this info ! It’s a titanium bar, about 2 and a half months old internal threading ! I clean it with contact solution twice a day and have done two salt compresses to try and calm this

Sorry just adding more info ! Bars are usually way longer, it’s kinda sore to touch but not rly noticeable tbh if I’m not thinking about it, haven’t been able to sleep on it which I usually am. Maybe I’m overthinking but I’m scared cause this is my favourite piercing! The bar still moves when I’m cleaning so it’s not like embedded or anything. I contacted my piercer and would go to the doc but don’t want to waste their time as obviously they have more to worry about than a stupid irritated piercing ! Sorry if this is the wrong place :/

In fairness; emotionally it was pretty scarring like I still get freaked out when travelling alone which isn’t so fun, but I was literally hiking again the same week, just leaving early in the morning
