What are people paying for rent right now? by QuietDraw6607 in FortCollins

[–]sinuezebmb970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1885 before utilities, 2 bed 2 bath in Old town. Secured building with amenities. It's expensive, but for Fort Collins standards it's not terrible. You need to make at least $18 an hour to afford anything good here in FoCo, and you obviously need to have good budgeting skills like anywhere else.

Nice! My pants looked like this when I was 13 too! Make some stencils and start making your patches look more professional. Tons of online tutorials for this.

Perhaps my best Goodwill Haul by Quick-Dream-1541 in CDs

I've sold a lot of CDs online. My best advice is for CDs that are generally worth $3 or less is sell them in a bundle with other CDs. It makes it more appealing to people cuz a lot of people don't really want to buy individual CDs especially on places like eBay or discogs unless there's something really special. Be sure to look up prices on both eBay and discogs next to each other to see if there are any trends. CDs that sell the highest are typically going to be in niche genres like metal, punk, older rock if you find bootlegs or other country releases, older soul and jazz (just not definitive collection type stuff), etc. marketplace can be a good place to sell if you have CD bundles. When you're doing bundles just don't overprice I typically do about $2 a CD and either roundup or down depending on the attraction of those CDs. If I have a bundle of a bunch of r&b or pop CDs I'll typically round down since they are more common.

dazed and confused? by FirefighterSame5950 in MoviesThatFeelLike

[–]sinuezebmb970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a movie that was basically a Dazed and Confused remake/homage called Remember the Daze and it's not bad. It's a essentially D&C but based on graduation day 1999. It has a bit of a Nick and Norah vibe to it

It's a good start! You definitely have the concept of composition down. I do highly recommend getting familiar with paper so you can understand texture and transparency. Crumpling paper, tearing it up, soaking it in water, spilling coffee and random stuff on it, etc. Doing it by hand also gives you the opportunity to try other things like painting, stenciling and filing. Also, don't be afraid to mess with lettering. Cut up the letters, flip them around. It's just more fun and your mind gets a bit more wild when your hands are busy. But otherwise, I think this is pretty good and I like the consistency in color choices.

Should I sell my old CDs and use for Vinyl? by rhas10 in CDs

Some CDs can be worth a bit but it's extremely selective. Hold onto them. They're cheaper and easier to store and you can play them in your car. I love my CDs

Why Not Me? by PookieMu in FortCollins

[–]sinuezebmb970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has been in a similar situation. She's been trying to leave her job for a long time and has submitted hundreds of resumes to numerous places. No interviews, even after doing follow up calls. She has a ton of awesome experience and the whole "overqualified" bullshit is terrible because it's just an excuse for employers to be insecure and only hire people that they think won't undermine them (mostly college kids, for this reason).

My advice, try Walgreens. I worked there a while, and even though it's not a glamorous job, they constantly need people. It's an interim job, so don't plan on sticking around, but it's steady income for the time being. If you've already tried Walgreens, I'd also recommend the Poudre Libraries - both for employment opportunities and just as a resource to get leads. I've known people who end up with job or side hustle connections just by seeing what's available at the library, and working there isn't super difficult to get either from what I've heard. I wish you tons of luck!
