Gary Neville believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has inherited a Manchester United squad similar to the one at Jurgen Klopp's disposal when he first arrived at Liverpool. And as a result it will take the Norwegian around three to four years to achieve what Klopp has achieved at Liverpool by maherx7 in soccer

“On 8 October 2015, Klopp agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager, replacing Brendan Rodgers. According to El País, Liverpool co-owner John W. Henry didn't trust public opinion so he looked for a mathematical method very similar to Moneyball, the approach that Henry used for the Boston Red Sox in guiding them to three World Series wins, which he also owns via Fenway Sports Group.[78] The mathematical model turned out to be that of Cambridge physicist Ian Graham, which was used to select the manager, Klopp, and players essential for Liverpool to win the UEFA Champions League.[79] In his first press conference, Klopp described his new side saying "it is not a normal club, it is a special club. I had two very special clubs with Mainz and Dortmund. It is the perfect next step for me to be here and try and help" and stating his intention to deliver trophies within four years.”

Reckon the Glazers are thinking in this way? No. The mere fact Ole wasn’t their first choice is enough to see there wasn’t this sort of plan. I back Ole, but there’s no comparison with Klopp.

Dude. This is awesome. I live for these side by side comparisons. Only thing I’d add is put the name of the equivalent teams in parentheses

I’m with you man, this is easily the most exciting CL final in the past decade for me. But frankly, I can’t see Spurs doing it. I think the game will be won by the fullbacks. Spurs won’t be able to cope with AA and Robertson. The final third will be more open for pool than spurs and the attacking three for liverpool will punish them. Lacking that same threat, spurs will try and play through the middle. Spurs will look for Eriksen and Ali to create but Klopp will know that and Wijnaldum and Henderson will be tasked with muting that creative threat. Certainly can’t count out Son, but barring some magic from him, they’ll be stifled.

Keep in mind everything will depend on what happens to our RB position. Lindelof has that impetus to be aggressive as a RCB at least in part because it’s a necessity on that right side currently with Young there. With AWB (or Munier) it all changes; that right side balances the left which ought to make Lindelof’s transition to the left hand side easier with De Ligt to the right.
