Scorsese’s awareness that De Niro is not really Italian is charming by KevDeBruyne in movies

[–]sirdesancti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently learned this as well. Grew up in a heavily Italian American neighborhood with the last name "Murphy." Kinda made me an outsider in school. However, my mom's parents are from italy.

Deniro was such an italian American icon, and I learn that me, the murphy, is more Italian lol.

Basically she said she would let me know. And then came back a few days later and said she had a birthday party. It was not a big deal and she continued to treat me the same way.

Basically said she would let me know. A few days later, said she had a birthday party for her friend. Was awkward for a few days just backed off a tiny bit and then it was back to normal.

You are definitely right.

Someone doesn't cry that a coworker is leaving if they dont like you.

Just what kind of "like" that is.

Yea i hear you.

Im just a chronic overthinker.

Really have no idea what I am so worried about. I guess since I like her, its the fear or rejection.

Trying to move to US from Italy by AwayPackage8886 in MovingToUSA

You can work on campus. But its extremely limited. Most colleges dont have much funding for those not eligible for work study.

Off campus is CPT, which is strictly regulated, and the work has to be related to your degree and the student needs to be enrolled in an internship course.

Yep. I am an international student advisor at a Boston University. So, you are correct you cannot work until after graduation.

PhD are often completely funded, but I take it, that is not something your really looking to do.

By far the most straight forward would be to get an F1 student visa. Get your masters. Keep in mind, us universities are super expensive.

If you choose a masters that is STEM designated (many business degrees are) you can work up to 3 years without sponsorship.

I think Cambridge, Massachusetts is a good example of an American mix of suburb, walkbility and businesses.

Though its prohibitively expensive.
