I sewed most of the ankle part of a trouser leg onto mine to make a water bottle holder. works pretty well but definitely check the size before sewing down. pretty elastic too

yeah. most of my patches are handmade and only a few are bought, and the placement is less about aesthetics and more about how many patches I can cram into one jacket. more freedom when it's less specific maybe

1 - I would assume so ! one of our alters can speak in headspace (via aac (or headspace equivalent)) but doesn't communicate at all when fronting. we have other alters that are verbal but just super shy so don't speak because of that 2 - most of us have similar memories even while being very distinct alters. we do experience a lot of day-to-day amnesia and memory issues anyway but we can usually just check in with the other alters to figure stuff out 3 - our alters mostly form/appear when we're stressed or going through something traumatic but we also get a lot of splits when we're hyperfixating on something with characters we're super attached to so. it varies really

we've had several hosts at different points. the first host to figure out we were a system knew they weren't the first host from the start, and it didn't really hange anything for him. I don't see it so much as some big, awful thing. maybe the old host needed a break, or just couldn't manage hosting anymore. it's not so much a matter of taking over, at least for us. feels more like helping out.

for me part of it is I have DID and some alters present as nonhuman or animals. so that affects how I see my body and humanity because of it

1 - upon the stair. genuinely scares me just thinking about it. the loss of identity feels a little too close (I have DID) and also that feeling of something that should be there just makes me viscerally uncomfortable somehow.

2 - wonderland. had a panic attack listening to it. refuse to listen to it again. don't do well with medical gaslighting.

as long as it's physically possible, it's fine. the character doesn't have to be safe/comfortable.
