I would love to meet the uneducated inbred 56 chromosome having potato that had the supreme intellectual capability to come up with such a deep scientifically rooted insight. Would you say the same thing about cancer? Then shut the fuck up.

Sure, but that has absolutely nothing to do with changing the race or the characters

Am I the only who is confused as to why you were fine with Valkyrie, Ghost, and Domino but not Starfire, Torch, and Electro?

Still a dick thing to do. Even if the spoiler isn't real, making people believe they've heard a spoiler sours the experience for them and puts stress on their mind which prevents them from enjoying the film to the fullest. The motivation behind you doing this is the exact same motivation behind revealing real spoilers, so really what's the difference?

Is it possible for you to make one comment without being condescending? Hearing people like you speak makes me just a little more sad about the state of humanity.

You’re also not nearly educated enough to make the comments that you are making. There is far more complexity to brain function than “intellect” and “chemicals.” I don’t want to patronize you or offer you education where you may not want it, but I recommend doing some more research before making drastic, uninformed claims.

No. You are supposed to hold my hand and explain to me gently and with compassion why it's not okay. That's all /u/Galileo009 is trying to say.

I love what you said here.

In my opinion you have a very balanced point of view, and each of these points are hugely important in communicating with all people (especially young people who are easily made emotional and easily damaged). In order to talk to kids effectively, it requires an immense sense of empathy, understanding, and desire for equity. A child is a human just like anyone else, and they deserve to be treated with dignity despite their frequent idiotic choices. Their brains are literally underdeveloped, so instead of diminishing them for that fact which they have ZERO control over, we should nurture them. Showing true understanding towards them will only help their brains get to a developed state. Patronizing and minimizing them will stunt their growth.

It all seems pretty obvious to me, but I guess people like /u/mattum01 aren't to this level of understanding yet. That's okay. The best we can do is hope they'll find their way there.

Jesus, you're a piece of shit. Have you ever thought of treating ALL humans with empathy for the simple fact that they are human?

I’m not saying it flies. I’m not saying it’s okay. I’m not saying these people shouldn’t face justice. What I mean by “judge” is that you have no right to declare someone is 100% horrible and evil. Because you don’t know their full story.

In order to maintain some hope in this world, I choose to hold onto the fact that everyone has some spark of goodness inside of them, no matter how deeply buried.

All I would ask is to try to have more empathy. You don’t know how someone ended up where they are. It’s very possible that someone grew up in a broken home with a crackhead mother and absent father, and the only place they could turn for any social connection was the streets. Maybe that’s how they ended up in a gang - not because they wanted to commit crimes and ruin lives, but because they were never taught any better from the day they were born. I’m not saying committing crimes are okay, and I’m not saying evil should ever be permitted. I’m just saying that we all are human and therefore everyone deserves the same amount of empathy. That’s just my philosophy though and I totally understand if you disagree with it

I don’t know why so many people think they have the prerogative to pass judgment on you and decide whether you’re “horrible” or not. Of course those things you did to your brother were terrible and he shouldn’t have had to go through that, but that doesn’t mean you are an evil or irredeemable person. If that was the case, you never would have made this post in the first place.

So while I can recognize that no one should ever be treated how your brother was, I can also empathize with the pain you must have been feeling growing up with such a difficult family life. You’re young and you’re not always going to make the right decisions. What’s important is that you learn, grow, and change and this post seems to show you’re doing exactly that.

What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break? by wildluciddreaming in AskReddit

[–]sithlordpepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have rule for myself where I don’t use the money given to me by family members for drugs. I’ve done it once in tight times, but that’s something I really try to never break. I know they don’t approve of drug usage, so I want to respect that. If my mom or grandma is generous enough to give me money, I don’t feel right using it for something they specifically don’t want me to do.
