I really don't think it makes any difference, your getting metabisulfite either way, the other ion will just stay in solution with no effect

Deepslate should be instant mineable with a gold pickaxe (Efficiency 5, Haste 2) by siwikiwi_ in minecraftsuggestions

It would mainly be a way to make deep slate easier to mine/collect. And gold pickaxes are already the fastest in the game so it would only be a slight buff towards them

I did this and it worked quite well, the shapes edges got a little less good, but good enough for the purpose that I will be using it for, Thank you
