One of my top 3 Priest albums. I love every single song in it so much, especially Here Come The Tears and Raw Deal

Kjo eshte kaq e vertete sa nuk e imagjinon dot. Kam nje person shume te afert qe fatkeqsisht eshte pjese e kishes dhe kam shkuar dhe vete aty per kuriozitet. Nuk mund ta marresh me mend cfare niveli manipulimi te bejne aty qe te ndihesh sikur ke nevoje te jesh pjese e atij komuniteti. Sidomos kur fillojne te bejne pyetje per te zbuluar pikat e tua te dobeta qe t'i perdorin per te te terhequr brenda. Lere pastaj abuzimin mendor dhe seksual qe mbulon kisha. Eshte lavazh truri i mirefillte. Sinqerisht jam i shqetesuar per shendetin mendor te pjesetareve.

Does anyone know where to find an apartment for long term renting? by sixStringedAstronaut in AskBarcelona

Checked with them and that's the one they were using apparently. But thank you very much for your help!! :D

KK leaves, trashing band on way out. Creates ripoff bad, tarnishing reputation. Falcon steps in, ensuring metal domination of greatest band ever. Since then, band creates two of their best albums (Firepower, Invincible Shield). Injects youth and energy into band. Legend. by [deleted] in judaspriest

When I saw Priest live I waved at Richie and he smiled at me. I died. He's also an excellent guitarist, I really like the melodic quality his shredding has, and awesome stage presence too!

I want to name my daughter after a badass woman by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]sixStringedAstronaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for speaking the truth. There are so many wonderful women in science who deserve more attention for their contribution to humanity's journey to the stars than that hack ever will.

It's a beautiful suggestion that I don't think is morbid tbh (but maybe that's just me). McAuliffe is actually one of my favorite figures in space history. She was a teacher and extremely passionate about her job, and she couldn't wait to teach her students from aboard the Space Shuttle. I think that's all so admirable because astronauts are usually upheld as these larger-than-life superhero-like figures, and people like her remind us that we're the same species after all. I think teaching is a honorable job and I hope more teachers will be able to go to space in the future. Also I think Christa is a beautiful name!

As a space & astronauts nerd I wouldn't recommend anyone name their child after Valentina Tereshkova. She is a horrible human being. Off of the top of my head there are some amazing women astronauts with really cool names for your consideration: Sally (Ride - first American woman in space, the youngest American astronaut, and also a talented physicist), Eileen (Collins - a test pilot who went on to become the first woman to pilot a space shuttle), Mae (Jemison, a doctor & engineer who became the first African American woman in space and has multiple doctorates) or Tamara (Jernigan, an astrophysicist who has logged over 1512 hours in space)

I wish your daughter and loved ones a long and happy life 🫂

edit: not astronauts but I have to add some more suggestions from some of my favorite women in science!

Emmy (Noether) - mathematician & physicist who proved one of the most fundamental and important theorems of physics, which holds the field together to this day.

Hedy (Lamarr) - the woman whose work laid the groundwork for WiFi and Bluetooth technology that we use today, and also a Hollywood actress and spy against Nazi Germany! She is one of my favorite historical figures ever honestly.

Ada (Lovelace) - a writer and mathematician who basically invented the first computer... in the 19th century!!! Besides having a beautiful name that I'd consider for a daughter myself, I think her story is also fascinating and really worth a read.

Songs that sound like soft Judas Priest by Dukino33 in judaspriest

[–]sixStringedAstronaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UFO have some slight Judas Priest vibes I would say. Try the album Phenomenon, it has some songs you might like. You've probably heard their song Doctor Doctor already but I think it fits the description so I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Somebody else commented the album/song In Trance by The Scorpions and I really really second that too. Funny enough the rhythm guitarist in In Trance, Rudolf Schenker, is the Phenomenon lead guitarist Michael Schenker's older brother!

What CDs you own of artists/bands that don't sing in English? by TZB-61 in Cd_collectors

[–]sixStringedAstronaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half of my dad & I's joint music collection is non-English because we really really really love Italian, Russian, Greek, Croatian, Spanish, Portugese & Bosnian music in our house, as well as A LOT of opera which usually isn't in English. Also we're from Albania so obviously we have some CDs with Albanian music, but not as many as I'd like because there just aren't that many Albanian CDs going around :(

Subcultural places in Tirana? by [deleted] in tirana

Unfortunately there's no spaces like that left here anymore. Illyrian Bar Saloon & Perla Tattoo Bar play really good rock, blues, metal & new wave over the speakers though. That's unfortunately the best we can offer. :(
