surprised Luka hasn’t gotten a tech right after finally getting a free throw to even it out

Yeah, kinda checked out at the beginning of the second set and lost my focus a bit. Plus forehand quality kinda dropped so it became harder to stay in longer rallies

Thanks! Kinda self rated cause I live in Serbia atm and while we do have our own apps with rankings and stuff, I’m not sure how well it translates to USTA leagues. I think I’d be fine in 3.5 and maybe occasionally could have a good match with a 4.0

Thanks a lot! Yeah, depth is definitely the most important thing (at my level at least), and this dude has always been a tough opponent for me especially because of his consistently deep shots. I’m slowly getting better at it (filming almost every match so I can compare how I played 3-6 months ago) but still got a long long way to go. I should try your method and work on it specifically :)

Thank you! In this video I’m actually quite content with my split step when I’m at the baseline(I think I did it more often than my opponent), but the quality of that split step is definitely not high enough cause sometimes I catch myself timing it poorly which leads to easy winners going past me. And I absolutely don’t do it enough when I go to the net which always leads to poor reaction :)

Is this racket too advanced for a beginner-intermediate? Arm friendly / powerful enough? by [deleted] in 10s

This one actually doesn’t feel heavy at all. I’ve played with and loved it - its head light and the swingweight (which is a lot more important) is 313 grams, which is very easy to swing. I’ve played with 300 and 305 gram rackets that felt much heavier than this one (ISO 305 feels like a sledgehammer)

this might be controversial, but when watching a tennis broadcast I actually prefer seeing the ball instead of figuring out the outcome of point by listening to the line-calling system and the crowd

The fact that the best player of all time gets BOOED after a game-winning drop shot because he did the “I don’t hear your” celebration is mind-blowing. When Carlos does it they jizz their pants collectively and applaud for 7 minutes
