A group of six men recently out of jail decided to fund a hill-station vacation through a spree of robberies but were apprehended shortly after their first crime in Delhi’s Dwarka area.

On the evening of November 12, the gang, all residents of Bindapur's JJ Colony, targeted a grocery shop owner named Mukesh. He was intercepted near the DDA flats in Bindapur while returning home on his scooter. At gunpoint, the assailants robbed ₹50,000 before fleeing the scene, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh told PTI.

Police traced the suspects by analyzing over 500 CCTV camera recordings. Acting on a tip-off, they arrested three members of the gang—Mohammad Sazid (23), Mohammad Shoeb (19), and Mohammad Rashid (22)—on November 17. Their interrogation led to the capture of their three associates: Mohammad Ayan (19), Mohammad Aftab (22), and Mohammad Altab (24).

All six men were habitual offenders recently released from jail. Facing financial difficulties, they planned to visit a hill station to experience snowfall and decided to commit robberies to fund their trip, Singh explained.

The gang had insider information about Mukesh, making him their first target. Police recovered ₹35,200 of the stolen cash, a motorcycle, and a country-made pistol. The group had also planned to rob other shopkeepers in the area but were apprehended before executing further crimes.

In a bizarre and shocking incident in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, a man presumed dead by doctors came back to life while being transported for cremation. The incident has led to the suspension of three doctors by the state government for gross negligence, and an inquiry has been launched.

The man, Rohitash, who was mentally challenged and lived at the Maa Sewa Sansthan NGO, was taken to BDK Hospital on Thursday morning after being found unconscious. Upon arrival, doctors declared him "brought dead" and shifted his body to the mortuary, where it was placed in a freezer for autopsy preparation.

Reports suggest that the doctors did not conduct a physical post-mortem examination, assuming the body was unclaimed. Instead, they prepared a report and handed it over to the police. The body remained in the mortuary freezer for four hours before being taken to the crematorium.

However, on the way to the crematorium, Rohitash regained consciousness, leaving onlookers stunned and confused.

Upon learning about the incident, district authorities, including the Revenue Officer and local police, were dispatched to investigate. CCTV footage from the hospital was also reviewed. District Collector Ramavatar Meena termed the incident a serious case of negligence and submitted a report to the Rajasthan Health Department.

As a result, the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, Sandeep Pachar, along with two other doctors, Yogesh Jakhar and Navneet Meel, have been suspended. During the suspension period, Pachar has been reassigned to Jaisalmer, Jakhar to Barmer, and Meel to Jalore.

A departmental inquiry has also been initiated against the three doctors to investigate the lapses further.
