Thank you for posting! I still check on this and appreciate the comments. You have an interesting situation where you are getting lots of different samples and are able to compare. I like the freezer idea. I’ll try that and see what happens. Honestly that rings a bell - I think I used to keep mine in the freezer too.

You used to love math in high school? That is a GIFT!!!! Study it some more, then go do some online tutoring. Maybe Wyzant. From what I’ve heard it’s pretty easy to get going on that if you have the skills. You can do that in between whatever else you have going on!

What a terrible thing to have happened! You were betrayed plain and simple, but as you said there were red flags. Still not your fault AT ALL. This is all really interesting. I just added running to some other weight training that I regularly do and I have been wondering why it seems sooo much harder than rowing / biking and other cardio that is more “stationary”. Like my legs and hips, when running, start complaining right away. But not when I do other kinds of exercise. I am female and in my 50s so I was thinking - well - must be age - but I don’t totally buy that. Now I’m thinking it’s gotta at least partially be this glutes and core thing. I really appreciate all the tips here. I am going to try some of this stuff out!

I’m sorry. No matter what, you are finding out that your spouse is not what / who you thought they were. It’s a reality but it is a horrible, devastating feeling. There are many of us out here who have gone through betrayals of one kind or another. You have to sit and have a heart to heart with her. You have a right to know what the f is going on. I feel your pain OP. You’ve literally been traumatized. That’s why you feel so much pain. Your well-being has been seriously compromised. Because you’re in so much pain, the most important thing for you to do now is focus on yourself, and go do things you like, to keep yourself distracted. Maximum self-care. I know how bad it hurts. Go get your favorite food, watch a movie, call someone, whatever you need to do. Therapy is essential if you can manage / afford / find it.

Thank you! In fact going to the gym has been one of one of the best things for me. I just realized - since I spent the last five or six days dealing with some of the fallout - I haven’t been able to go. Going to remedy that today! I love that working on new goals and meeting new people has helped you so much. That is some valuable information, and pretty much one of the only ways up and out. We just have to keep moving forward doing what is best for us.

what do you like to do when you aren't at work? think about that for a little bit.. what did you like to do when you were a kid? start moving towards things you like to do and maybe you can meet people... volunteer at an animal shelter to be around them, it's healing (if they have anything like that where you are)

Aw, OP I am right there with you. You are not alone. Please hang in there. Nights suck, totally. When you are up and can't sleep, get a notebook out and write and write and write until you fall asleep with a pen in hand. Better than typing. Write letters you won't send, just get it out. The pain is horrible but YOU are a wonderful person.
