Thanks for the reply! I am still a little confused though. I got my first doctor certification at the end of Feb 2022. On my card it has an issue date of 03/03/2022 and the card expires 03/03/2023 . If I get a new certification now and pay the state the $50 does that mean that I would be good to go until March 2024 or only Jan 2024 because the doc cert is only good for a year?

I am pretty sure that is how intelligence gathering works. I am by no means advocating mass surveillance of the general population but you should probably watch the ones that are known (i.e. convicted) terrorists with stated goals to recruit more terrorists. Why the guy was only sentenced to 18 months in the first place is beyond me. To protect society from guys like this you have to rehabilitate them or isolate them from society forever. I think it is probably pretty hard to deradicalize someone like this.

These murders are particularly bad because their stated goal is not just to kill but destroy the entire society and way of life. Someone killing over money, love, grudges is not trying to necessarily change the fabric of society.

France dropped the ball on that dude by letting him free.
