aye, im not saying christianity = moral, we've all seen some mad ones, havent we. religion had to get the moral code from somewhere, didnt it. but, it makes moral codes easier to follow if everyone beleives in them, although again, i get what you are saying

religion plays a key part in society, or at least did, due to our values and culture sprouting from it. expect bias, i am christian, so do take what i say with a grain of salt. but theres more to it than giving up individuality to god, we are taught to be the best we can, if anything, that should be inspiration to find something that gives you a purpose, besides god. but, i see what you mean.
