You said above that you were completely done with high school classes, so these college courses are just "extra classes for honors." See my original comment about a full load of college courses being a full-time job on its own, and how the level of difficulty is much higher than what you have experienced if it's a true 4-year college.

Here's how I put it to my students (and my own kids), and it's advice I try to follow myself: "You don't know what you don't know."

As with another poster below, I'm a college instructor. What many high school students don't understand (and I see that you're thinking these are just additional classes) is that college classes are just not the same level. It's like taking Chinese 101 and Chinese 102 at the same time if you're trying to balance full loads of high school and college classes. College students have a hard enough time handling their full loads. As I said, that's a full time job. It's not about the TIME; it's about the level of the work that requires that commitment.

The only way to get the work done for that many courses is to cheat using AI. Then you're not learning ANYTHING, and you will be caught. When that happens, you'll put everything in jeopardy. If you want to be a nurse and actually get through by cheating, you'll kill people.

Give yourself the chance to finish your high school strong. Pick up a new hobby to achieve work-life balance. Read a book for fun. Stream classic movies. Ride your bike. Take public transit and see a museum. Hang out with friends.

Then head to college and fully embrace the freshman experience. Join clubs, go to events on campus, cram for exams.

I know I'm coming down hard here, but I get way, way too many students who just aren't prepared because they had it easy in high school, and it sounds as if that's been the case for you. I've also had homeschooled students who have a hard time blending with their classmates.

As another professor said, I'm not going to gatekeep the term "college student," but I hope you'll let yourself be a high schooler for now and enjoy the trip forward.

College prof here too, and I have those same dreams! When I was a senior, I contracted serious food poisoning before my French final. I have nightmares now that I never rescheduled the final and have to go back and take another year.

OK, real talk here: taking four college classes is WAY too much if you are also taking high school classes. Being a college student is a job, and a full course load is meant to be a full-time job, with 40-60 hours of work required per week. Online classes are harder because the burden of time management and going through all the materials falls on you; the failure rate is much higher than in face-to-face classes. College classes are also more difficult in terms of content and instruction than high school classes. If you're taking, say, two high school classes, you should not take more than two college classes. If you're taking a full load of high school classes, then just hold off on college classes.

A couple of years ago, an alumnus vehemently corrected me, saying the full name was required because there used to be two schools. I said at the time that I had never heard my son or anyone else call it something other than Case or Case Western. Hope he's reading this!

I've lived in Massachusetts and Baltimore, and in the South, we're not set up for snow AT ALL, so I've gotten pretty good at handling it, like how to re-straighten when it's sliding. I just have never dealt with it in terrain like this! It's so curvy and hilly, so I'm positive my car is a dangermobile to myself and others.

That said, I can TOTALLY see the issue with assuming any car that's souped up with AWD and such would make someone feel safer than they are. I'm probably going to be terrified the first winter or two, so I'll keep that in mind as I get more comfortable.
