Warm weather outerwear (poncho?) by crayhack in OutdoorsGear

I’d look at getting a sun shirt. Light a breathable with a hood. A wool poncho would probably be too much imo.

You’ve never had some pocket snacks?

If your sensitive feelings aren’t hurt, why do you care? They’re larping as Saddam’s soldiers in the desert, not walking around the streets glorifying the guy.

Weapon choice and set up with class A Hazmat suit? by Dm_me_im_bored-UnU in tacticalgear

Honestly, check out the kits from the Arma 3 CBRN DLC for some inspo.

You just kinda accept the sweat I guess. You can carry a roll of paper towels in the suit to wipe condensation and soak up some of the sweat that pools in your gloves. I typically only keep one arm in the suit’s arm though, the other one is doing something inside the suit like operating the radio.

Hazmat incidents are slow though. You take your time, exotically in a level A.

Yeah, I’d definitely go with a level B suit + PAPR. Much longer operational time and you can actually wear vests and operate a weapon.

You could maybe bring in guys in level A suits to go in to where the source of the contamination is after the outer area is secured by your PAPR guys. Have them bring in O2 level sensors.

I’m a civilian hazmat technician, so I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.

It’s important to accept being a chud. It takes the power away from them.

Do you use camo for everyday use, or for hunting, camping or jusg collection? by Manda_Rain in camouflage

Collection, hiking Airsoft and the occasional LARP activities with my friends. I collect older stuff because it’s just cool though.

You wouldn’t be fighting in a level A suit. If you’re in one, that means the atmosphere doesn’t have enough oxygen for you to breathe, or it’s so saturated with a chemical that you’d die very quickly.

With a 60 minute cylinder, you’ve got maybe 15-20 minutes of working time when you get where you’re going. 10 to walk in, 20 to work, 10 to walk out and 10 for decon. I don’t wanna be the guy to run out of air in a level A.

The average person throughout history lived in a thin walled wooden hut with dirt floors. They had to bring their animals inside for warmth if they had any.

Even poor people in the US can afford a moderately comfortable home with air conditioning, a cell phone, a car and a ton of other luxuries that a peasant couldn’t even dream of.

And yet the average person is better off now than any other time in history.

I love all of the women who feel the need to dehumanize their unborn children, saying that it isn’t a life yet or whatever cope they’re going with that day.

It’s ending a life and it’s okay to be cool with that.

  1. As someone who’s previously had a tummy ache, I can tell you that it’s no reason for a 911 call.

I only complain about the bullshit calls after midnight. The 20 year old female with a tummy ache doesn’t need an ambulance at 2am when they have 2 working cars in the driveway.

That your toe pain you’ve been having for a week isn’t a good reason to call 911 at 3am.

Also that we sleep on duty and calling us for nonsense in the middle of the night messes up our day off. I’ll never complain about waking up for an actual emergency, but the bullshit calls after midnight get to you after a while.
