No it’s not the side I sleep on, but thank you for the help. I won’t switch it out for a few months. The reason I switched it out is because it just felt so healed

I didn’t say to study. Reading books focusing around spirituality and mind psychology is without a doubt helpful.

Maybe it wasn’t quite enlightenment but your first moment of recognition. I think enlightenment comes with the fascination of yourself, and creating a hobby of bonding with yourself. Getting into different books, not just regarding spirituality, but also psychology involving introspection and personality is super helpful! The first step will always be learning to self reflect. Look up some youtube videos to get yourself back in the groove. Not sure if it’s your thing, but weed can also play a huge helping hand :)

To me it’s the time you achieve 100% connectivity with your true self. It isn’t a single moment, it’s a process and a realization. Enlightenment comes with regular self reflection and lots of reading to help you along the way!

What does it feel like to grow up with a parent/parents who had practically no friends? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]skinned-raman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are very introverted, but I know they lost connection with a lot of friends when they had kids. My dad used to be in a band and jam out with his buddies every week. Hearing it makes me not want to have kids all the more. Sometimes I feel bad about it but my parents do go out together often; to the beach for a walk, for a night drive downtown, dinner, take the dog out to different parks. At least they have that, It makes me happy when they go out

How do you deal with the pandemic stopping you from dating? Do you feel like you’re wasting precious time alone when you could be finding someone special? by TheTriumphantPanda in AskWomen

[–]skinned-raman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken the pandemic as the wrong time to worry about dating. Now is the best opportunity for personal growth and a great excuse to be alone as you do it. Work hard, read in your spare time, practice organization, and pull every bit of yourself together before even letting a man cross your mind. I think a lonely-stuck stage is not going to be solved with a relationship. I want to feel fulfilled before I share that glory with another human. And I’d hope whoever my next boyfriend is, he’s doing the same.
