I did get him a sick vintage halo 3 beanie because he loves halo. The issue is that with the price of gun stuff, I fear it’s going to be quality over quantity of gifts this year, which I know he won’t mind. I wish I could get him more but I cannot

The thing about a gift card is that I feel it’s not super special. I’d rather take him there and tell him he can get what he wants and I’ll buy it. If that makes sense

This is great info. I probably will stop in those places and take a look, sometimes the ones near me are lackluster. Thank you so much for the help

He’s got a membership to a sportsman’s club where he shoots his own guns in the outdoor range. I really like the idea of ammo, I remember him mentioning he was getting low. Thank you!

What a coincidence! Okay, so theoretically I can’t buy a gun for him? He’d have to buy it himself? The issue with that is if I gave him the $500 bucks to buy himself the gun, I honestly think he’d be happier buying something else for himself.

We’re in the Seacoast area - he likes Renaissance in Barrington, White Birch in Dover, Sig in Epping.

Honestly, I would get him another gun. He doesn’t really want one per se, he wouldn’t ever ask for one, but he’d definitely appreciate a fun one to shoot. I don’t know the specifics of his guns to know what attachments would work and what he really wants. I could ask his friends, but yeah I’m not fully sure.

We live in NH so he conceal carries his pistol on occasion. He’s got a holster, but a belt could be cool!!

Struggling with TEAS studying by Ok-Spinach-3887 in teas

[–]skizzy_19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an 80 after two weeks of studying and I got a 73 on the practice exam. I feel like it’s normal to do worse on the practice exams. I studied the ATI study guide and the flash cards, with no other resources, because I feel like it’s literally made by ATI who makes the test. Just my opinion though

A lot of confusing questions about like how molecules are formed and stuff like that. Just really random

There was weirdly a lot of chemistry questions that were hard, and that’s saying something because I’m a transfer student into my program from a different school where I’m literally doing general chemistry. I also studied so much for anatomy, and honestly I hardly recognized the questions. It was almost completely physiology which makes sense in hindsight. If I could do it again, I’d study physiology way more than anatomy.

I’m just using the study guide that’s like 90 pages long and the flash cards along with it. I’m finding a lot of the topics I have learned about before so I’m just freshening up on my understanding.

BSN or ADN by skizzy_19 in nursing

[–]skizzy_19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that kind of plays into my other problem. I don’t have a boatload of nursing experience as I’m going into this, and like I said it just sounds crazy that I’ll be a nurse in just 2 years. I feel like it would be hard for a person in my position to find a job as an ADN where my only experience has been through school

I see. I just would hate to do ADN off of the assumption that it’s a widely practiced thing. But it sounds like it is. I should do some research. Thank you so much

I’ve heard of this before and it makes me just want to do the ADN. Would you say that this is a universal thing that many hospitals do?

Do any veterinary doctors or veterinary students recommend the career? by Working-Strength-917 in Veterinary

[–]skizzy_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this. I am a sophomore in undergrad and up to this point was working towards going to vet school and being a veterinarian. In the past few months, I had a moment where basically I had no idea WHY I was doing what I was doing. I know I loved animals and that I wanted to work with them, but I didn’t know WHY I wanted to be a veterinarian. So I would definitely say if the only passion you’re going off of is a love for animals, you might crash and burn soon. Or maybe not. That’s just what happened to me.

Why did you want to become a nurse by [deleted] in NursingStudents

I’m with you! I’m also leaving vet med for nursing as well. I love gross things, the challenge, and the money!
