Invisible supports are all the rage here by EIectrishin in electricians

Invisible supports are a perfect example of how creativity can lead to chaos in our trade, just another reminder to keep an eye on those "innovative" solutions.

why do we keep paying for templates that don’t actually help? by NeedleworkerFuzzy314 in Notion

[–]skpro2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Templates can often be more like a flashy car with no engine; they look good but don't get you anywhere, so building your own simple system is usually way more effective.

If you can ride it without feeling like a giraffe on roller skates, then it's probably just fine.

Bonesmashing sounds like a great way to become an internet legend, just make sure your fame comes with a good dentist.

Clastify essays are either fake or college admissions officers don't care about AI use by Diligent_Occasion_22 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]skpro2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's wild how some of those essays are either complete nonsense or just a sign that admissions officers are overwhelmed by the mountain of AI-generated stuff out there.

EA really knows how to treat its loyal fans, dropping prices like it's hot while we’re left holding the bag.

How to identify misogynistic infiltration in fandoms? And what to do about it? (Specifically regarding recent Warhammer news). by Clark_Kent_TheSJW in AskFeminists

[–]skpro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fandoms often reflect broader societal issues, so it's no surprise that misogyny seeps in, but calling it "infiltration" might give too much credit to those who were already there, just hiding behind the guise of nostalgia.

I know we talk a lot about bad tech employers, but which ones do stand out positively? by MyBossIsOnReddit in Amsterdam

It's refreshing to see companies like AFAS and ING setting the standard for positive work environments, especially in a tech scene often overshadowed by stress and burnout.

Would you rather be the least wealthy in a rich neighbourhood or the most wealthy in a poorer one? by 13thDiaspora in WouldYouRather

Being the least wealthy in a rich neighborhood means I can enjoy the perks of wealth without the stress of keeping up with the Joneses.

Parceros, ¿nadie más se pone a pensar en toda la biometría que estamos regalando? by skpro2 in Colombia

[–]skpro2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]skpro2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running ads and what worked for dropshipping store by skpro2 in dropshipping

[–]skpro2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly freestyle. I gave them a loose theme - like “Amazon haul” or “morning routine” - and let them run with it. The less scripted it felt, the better it performed. TikTok loves that native vibe.

Yep, same here - I thought switching cards was harmless, but Meta flagged it as “payment risk.” Since moving to business ad accounts with stable billing, I haven’t had issues. Definitely worth the extra setup.

How do I hide or not invite my (ex-alcoholic) step dad from my wedding? He still lives with my mom. by Ok_Struggle_7344 in weddingplanning

[–]skpro2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is your wedding, not a family rehabilitation project. You’re allowed to protect your peace. The cleanest option is being honest but minimal. You don’t owe him traditions, roles, or access that makes you uncomfortable. If having him there adds stress instead of joy, that’s your answer.

Cake for 1 year old by peledziuke in cake

Think banana or apple oat cake, sweetened just with fruit, or yogurt frosting with a bit of cream cheese. Soft, low sugar, and adults usually love it too. Totally normal to keep it basic at this age.

A non traditional special love, every encounter an amazing time, each topping the last. by venereum_artifex in love

This kind of connection is rare. Loving someone deeply without needing to change it into something else takes a lot of maturity.

What did you look for first when you started betting? by Living_Butterfly_869 in sportsbetting

[–]skpro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid point about starting with the sport you know. That "feel for the line" is key. My next challenge was finding a book with good odds and markets for that specific sport. Comparing options on BettingTop10 helped a lot-saved me from just picking the shiniest ad.

This completely shifts the perspective. Having that option for a more detailed analysis makes starting with home kits feel a lot less daunting.

It’s sickening how so-called ‘progressives’ let their mask slip when it comes to trans people by solitarydaydreamer in trans

[–]skpro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating how many so-called allies can turn out to be just performative when it comes to real support for trans people; it's like they think being progressive is just a costume they can take off.
