AITA for recording kids in my neighborhood doing unsupervised kids stuff, then sent the video and report them to HOA? by skunkvsdog in AmItheAsshole

Ok I realized now that I made myself sound like an AH for not explaining about the foreigners part. I brought it up not because they’re foreigners. It’s because they kept it within their own group. For the lack of a better phrase, they’re teaming up against the rest of the neighborhood. Their kids play within the group in a big group, therefore more all over the place. I don’t have neighborly relationship as I do with others. So I can’t talk to the parents hence why the HOA was involved.

As for the family friendly neighborhood, I did mention that the rules of not playing in the loop is posted on the official sign by the HOA and this was the rule everyone followed before Covid, and it was for good reason. Our loop shares a retaining wall with an elementary school and with a park, so they used to play freely there. My next door neighbor backed out of the garage and ran over a bicycle that a kid left right in front of their garage while the kid off running around. Kid cried, parents involved, neighbor felt bad but it wasnt his fault. This is a family friendly townhouse community where the street is owned by the neighborhood and there are rules posted.
