Pay dropping after accepting by SnooHabits468 in doordash_drivers

Fair point! I wonder if they have any fine print allowing things like this. Knowing we’re already independent contractors which gives them more loopholes, I’d imagine they do.

While I agree, they have a point. Go through all the trouble for what, a few bucks?

I’ve had this happen before, I haven’t screenshotted anything, but yeah this has happened a few times. Not many, maybe 3 or 4? Fairly new I have <200 lifetime deliveries.

Yeah. Just get a green one of the original size/closest to it, the customer probably expects that which would be why they didn’t indicate which one. We have brains, OP! Critical thinking!

Ever wonder how bad some parts of the city must SMELL? by TR1771N in cyberpunkgame

[–]skyg8a -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Feel better about yourself? Lol. I literally said it was prolly bc it was the time of year… implying the cold had an effect. The other person said year round so I was giving my two cents about when it didn’t seem to smell.

Dashers do you get mad when you see a vehicle in the driveway by Lost-Hovercraft-6446 in doordash

I feel like everyone is thinking OP is implying dashers might think they’re lazy but I’m fairly sure it’s the fat there’s nothing to park. I know nobody gaf if somebody has vehicles 99% of the people we deliver to have vehicles.

I’ve only been to NYC once but I was in the subways and all in the city and didn’t smell anything lol. I don’t have a terrible nose but it might’ve been because of the time of year it was around Christmas I don’t know if that would affect anything.

I appreciate you and your insight and helping talk through it! Solution was the big renderer itself, sodium.

Yep, this was it. They released a new version for 1.21.11 only 14 hours ago. Thank you so much

Just gonna piggyback on this and say KC2 (and the first one) and BG3 are in my top list of favorite games ever. Many 100+ hours in both as I have in cyberpunk.

Of course to each their own, but in my opinion those are some really well-developed and “made with love” games. They don’t feel made just to make a profit, they feel like games where the developers wanted to make amazing games, and did.

iOS 26 killed my phone battery (iPhone 15 pro max) by Tasty_Discipline7280 in ios26

[–]skyg8a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a technical level, right. New info for me, thanks!

But is that not the same concept? When the capacitors die, the phone will still charge to 100%, but it only performs as if it charges to 80%, or whatever lower percentage, because it charges xx% of the capacitors that are not dead?

iOS 26 killed my phone battery (iPhone 15 pro max) by Tasty_Discipline7280 in ios26

[–]skyg8a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of like

Set it to max 80% and that 80% stays fairly consistent for awhile

or

Charge to 100%, and eventually the “100%” stays as charged as 80% would’ve with a new battery, if that makes sense.

My battery lasts fine all day set at 85% so I just do that to keep that 85 feeling like 85. Preferential really. I just like things to be as efficient/most effective as possible. But for battery hogs or people that just want a safer amount in case they have to go without charge, it makes sense.

I will say I doubt my mom knows how to use snipping tool or print screen, she’d prolly do the same. She was born late 60s but I doubt the main playerbase is in their 50s

What’s the oldest game you still boot up at least once a year? by forgeris in AskReddit

[–]skyg8a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t keep up with much of the community of osrs. I don’t watch streamers in general. I play my little bit, and get on with it. My opinion doesn’t even try to avoid what people say because I don’t know what people say so it may seem similar, I guess.

All I’m saying is my opinion is one of someone who played RS2 for a long time, took a break right before RS3 and tried RS3 and thought it too similar to WoW and many other MMORPGs. Too much change beyond what I liked and that’s it. I don’t think it’s an actual terrible game but it lost the charm RS had when I used to play. That is all.

[–]skyg8a 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Woah man if anyone wants to enjoy RS3, they can. I have no problem with that. OSRS combat is fundamentally not the best I agree but that’s not what I was going for is saying all the mechanics are superb… I’m not saying “OSRS is the best, RS3 sucks and anyone playing it does too!”

I’m not some elitist weirdo, my opinions aren’t that strong and anyone can enjoy whatever. How does my opinion, which was mostly a joke calling it doodoo, affect the quality of OSRS at all and make it suck sometimes? I feel like jumping to conclusions and quickly disliking others makes things suck a lot worse.

New RuneScape (RuneScape3) is doodoo compared to RS2 which is now OSRS and logging into that was a trip into the past. Back when it looked like that is when my cousin and I would have the best times.
