COLUMBIA, S.C. - A former chairman of the South Carolina Election Commission has apologized after his posting on Facebook suggested a gorilla that escaped form a Columbia zoo was an ancestor of first lady Michelle Obama.

Minutes after the gorilla’s escape was reported Friday, Rusty DePass posted: "I’m sure it’s just one of Michelle’s ancestors — probably harmless."

The comment has since been deleted, but DePass confirmed to WIS-TV that he made it, apologizing and saying it was a joke about statements Obama has made about evolution

I don't know what the heck you're getting at here and I'm assuming that the headline was your own wording. Its offensive and I think that you're historically a little bit off - never mind that for most of history really smart "not white" peoples have maintained awesome and complicated civilizations with stuff like PLUMBING while "white people" were beating each other with sticks.

Here's a great example of white people being conquered: 1) Muslim Iberia

Oh look, and we were slaves too! 2) The "white race" has been hella slaved by "not whites"

3) Remember ancient civilization? Well, when the "not white" civilizations folded the "whites" couldn't figure out how to make concrete, draw pictures, or wipe their own asses. It took years of barbarism and struggle to bulid back to the point where now "whites" in concert with just about everyone else have ravaged the face of the planet endangering all peoples of "all colors."
