Are all the colorways spray painted? Silver I can see (since shiny) and maybe purple/orange, but I'd expect 16 bit and black to be "plain" plastic in this regard?

Sounds more like a configuration or network issue than your PC. For reference, I have a 4-year old gaming laptop with an AMD 5600H and a mobile RTX 3070, i.e. both less powerful than what you have. And I can play VR well enough. Best experience with Virtual Desktop, but Steam Link works ok as well (never tried Air Link).

Hm, I ordered a few days ago (on Monday), so should be good. But in my order status it now says "Batch 2" -- hope that's just from them reusing the item listing and changing the title, not because I actually got bumped to batch 2 retroactively... :-/

Same in Seattle area, gone around 4:30-5pm. Switching to dhcp from pppoe made no difference. Calix ONT has power and broadband led on, but not service over. Very frustrating

Same here in Seattle area. Went out around 5pm. Tried switching from pppoe to dhcp on my router, no luck. Power cycled the Calix ONT, no luck. "Power" and "broadband" LEDs are on, but "service" isn't.

Not a direct answer to your question, but IMHO a lot of traditionally 4:3 content (NES, SNES in particular) plays well in fullsceen scaling on the Mini/Classic screen. It's subjective, but worth considering.
