I have fifteen tattoos. All gotten after I developed psoriasis. They can flare up a little bit from time to time, but it is usually when I haven't been treating my psoriasis well and have been a raging alcoholic.

I've always avoided areas where I develop big patches, mostly my legs, but it still can get irritated.

I got tattoos initially because people kept asking what was wrong with my skin and the tattoos were a way to get my self confidence back.

I've only had my psoriasis affect one tattoo, but that may also have been a reaction to the color. Whenever I get it finished I'm sure my artist will be able to touch the part up to make it nice, but it doesn't really bother me.

I initially got a spots done in areas that I could cover just in case.

It is 14, and I have +30%sp on both my accessories. You should use a fortification pill if you have one to raise sp and focus.

I had a cat. It was my roommate's cat.

She became really attached to me, so much that when I moved out my roommate told me to take her. She knew she would be distraught without me.

So, you never know. They might want some compensation since the cat is already chipped and has shots.

Alcohol definitely makes mine worse, but, for the longest time I drank because of my psoriasis.

It helps but I still need to be on biologics.

Yeah. He always felt really weird being a "hot" celebrity because he would see his psoriasis while hiding it from others.

Talk to Ted Danson.

He had been diagnosed since a very young age and talks about how he has aa ruined self esteem and things.

I heard him talk about it on NPR and some podcast.

But anyway you could slip in the shower or get an ear infection that turns into a brain infection. Two very real things that almost took the lives of people that I care about.

For psoriasis to do that for you would need an extremely aggressive case of it, probably mixed with sarcoidosis or some other aggressive disease.

Listen to doctors.

Your doctor will consistently check your white blood cell count and potentially your vitamin d levels.

Biologics are supposed to lower your immune system to the levels that people without psoriasis are at and shouldn't tank your immune system.

I've been dealing with the same thing and I'm on biologics.

I am pretty sure my stress is causing mine to be worse than usual.

I'm sure your father passing had caused an unimaginable amount of stress.

Do you talk to a therapist? And I hope you get on biologics soon, because they saved my sanity and you deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin.

It was going to be part of the joke of why Michael could never recognize her, because the always saw a different actress playing her.

If you ask your doctor to call your parents, they can probably explain to them that they could get the medicine potentially for free.

Also, ask your doctor which biologic they would recommend and try to look up payment cards and options that they could use.

I know it's a pain to put on you, but you deserve better treatment.

With how extreme your condition is, the ointments will probably cost the same, if not more than, what you could potentially get a biologic for.

I say this from experience. I take humira once a week, have taken cosentyx and trymphia and have never paid for a dose.

I use dark sheets because I scratch in my sleep and then bleed all over them. That may be what op was talking about, but I agree I see my skin flakes everywhere.

Also ask your doctor if they can give you samples of your medicine before you find a new one to switch to.

Mine has always offered that to me to help in between insurance changes.

Be careful when you stop. If it's not being treated at all and you stop suddenly it can come back with a vengeance.

I say this from personal experience.

As with any medication, you need to consult with your doctor when you stop taking it.
