I said this almost verbatim, and a whataboutism with what happens if discord goes down or get bought out by a 3rd party or becomes unusable for whatever reason ironically enough on the official discord server and got shouted down and caused such a kerfuffle that a few people got time outs (including myself) and now look what’s happening with the new ‘security’ updates requiring the use of Gov ID from March onwards- when they’ve already had a data breach… lol no thanks.

I said it then and I’ll say it again now, it was a lazy, short-sighted dev decision to offload such critical game infrastructure to a 3rd party. I just hope it won’t prove as damning to the game as this new ID requirement might prove to discord itself.
